An IP address shown by one website describes one observed connection, not your entire device. DNS and WebRTC checks examine different behavior. Record a baseline without the VPN and repeat with it enabled, using the same browser and network. A reverse proxy can also change the address seen by a site. Do not treat one green indicator as proof of complete protection.
