Starlink is seeking to become a government-designated qualified telecommunications operator. According to data, more than 10,000 people are currently using Starlink satellite Internet services.

After Starlink becomes a legal telecommunications operator, it can receive millions of dollars in subsidies from the Rural Digital Opportunity Fund and obtain the right to provide services in multiple states. SpaceX already has more than 1,000 satellites in orbit, and its network speed can provide connections of more than 100/20 Mbps per second and less than 31 milliseconds of latency.
