2019 China Urban Renewal Promotion Award: The gains and changes of World Union Space

As China's major cities gradually enter the era of stock property renewal, consumption upgrades, mobile Internet, and artificial intelligence are profoundly changing all walks of life. On November 21, at the "2019 China Urban Renewal Forum", a non-profit industry forum jointly initiated by 70 well-known companies, financial institutions, academic organizations and other institutions such as CITIC Capital, Vanke Group, Blackstone Group, and Gaohe Capital, the World Union Space Judeyuan project won the [2019 China Urban Renewal Promotion Progress Award].

The jury interpreted the award as follows:

“Urban renewal can be micro-renewal or major transformation. The most important thing is to promote the progress of the city, from abandonment to revitalization, from inefficiency to high energy. The “Promoting Progress Award” is used to commend those cases that change the city and the industry through their own efforts. Small trickles merge into the sea, and we need more such forces!”

In the eyes of World Union people, the old city carries the memory of the city. The connection between people and the memory of the city requires the skill of "embroidery needle". Among them, as one of the comprehensive examples of the urban renewal and transformation concept of World Union Space, the Judeyuan project may provide reference experience for promoting renewal: on the one hand, its micro-transformation has brought positive changes to the region, enabling the project to better integrate into the region and serve local residents; on the other hand, from building transformation to operational innovation, from industrial changes to management changes, it has injected fresh blood into the original building.

On November 23, students from the Urban Intelligence Renewal Research Institute and Implementation College, a domestic research institution focusing on urban asset value management, visited Judeyuan for inspection and exchange, and became the first group to visit the "Past and Present: World Union Space·Judeyuan Urban Renewal Achievement Exhibition".
