IT Home learned that Wang Jianwei, deputy director of the Information Technology Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that over the past ten years, the digitalization, networking and intelligent development of China's manufacturing industry has accelerated and the overall situation has continued to improve .

First, the foundation of digital transformation has been continuously consolidated . The innovation capabilities of new-generation information technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and blockchain have been greatly improved. 5G mobile communication technology, equipment, and application innovations are leading the world, and the scale of software and information technology services continues to grow. A series of landmark achievements have been made in the fields of integrated circuits and software. The network supply capacity has been significantly enhanced. The world's largest optical fiber and mobile broadband network has been built, and the optical fiber transformation has been fully completed. The 4G network covers urban and rural areas, and the 5G network is accelerating its development . The five top nodes of industrial Internet identity resolution are running stably, and the secondary nodes cover 29 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities).

Second, the rapid development of the industrial Internet . The innovative development strategy of the industrial Internet has been steadily promoted, the construction of networks, platforms, security and other systems has been continuously improved, and the scale of the industry has exceeded the trillion yuan mark, becoming a key support for promoting the digital transformation of the industry. Low-latency, high-reliability, and wide-coverage network facilities have been initially built, the identification resolution system centered on the national top-level node has developed on a large scale, the integrated application innovation supported by the platform is active, and the technical monitoring service system of the three-level coordinated linkage of the country, province, and enterprise has basically been formed. At present, more than 150 industrial Internet platforms with certain regional and industry influence have been built, the number of industrial equipment connections has exceeded 79 million sets, and more than 1.6 million industrial enterprises have been served , and the effects of improving quality, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency have continued to emerge.

Third, the intelligent manufacturing system is promoted . The intelligent manufacturing project has been deeply implemented, and the development pattern of regional coordination and industry linkage has basically taken shape. Local governments have issued more than 260 supporting policies, actively explored regional promotion models with their own characteristics, and developed key industries such as automobiles, petrochemicals, home appliances, and pharmaceuticals in an all-round way. The scale of the intelligent manufacturing equipment industry is nearly 3 trillion yuan, and the market satisfaction rate exceeds 50% . Through intelligent transformation, the production efficiency of intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories has increased by an average of 32%, the comprehensive utilization rate of resources has increased by an average of 22%, the product development cycle has been shortened by an average of 28%, the operating cost has decreased by an average of 19%, and the product defect rate has decreased by an average of 24%.

Fourth, the innovation capability continues to improve . The endogenous innovation capability of the manufacturing industry continues to increase, and the production methods, enterprise forms, business models and employment methods are accelerating changes. New technologies such as 5G, AR/VR, and artificial intelligence are accelerating integration with the manufacturing industry . New products, new models, and new formats such as industrial drones, wearable smart equipment, and collaborative R&D design, digital factories, smart mines, and shared manufacturing are booming. New formats such as the gig economy and platform economy are growing, driving the manufacturing industry to accelerate its extension to the high end of the value chain, and its market competitiveness continues to increase.

Fifth, the transformation ecosystem is accelerating . We have successively supported the creation of industrial Internet demonstration zones in the Yangtze River Delta, Shandong, Guangdong, Chengdu and Chongqing, and systematically promoted the construction of industrial Internet infrastructure, integrated applications and ecological cultivation. The construction of a technology innovation ecosystem with enterprises as the main body and market as the guide has initially shown results, effectively helping the upstream, midstream and downstream of the industrial chain, and large, medium and small enterprises to integrate innovation. The industry-university-research-application cooperation ecosystem is accelerating, and a number of transformation leading enterprises have emerged. The pattern of coordinated development of the industrial chain, innovation chain, talent chain and value chain has been initially established.
