China Mobile: 5G package customers reach 331 million

China Mobile released its unaudited financial data for the first three quarters of 2021. The data showed that China Mobile's operating revenue in the first three quarters was RMB 648.6 billion, up 12.9% from the same period last year; net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 87.2 billion, up 6.9% year-on-year.

In terms of mobile business, as of September 30, 2021, the total number of China Mobile's mobile customers reached approximately 956 million, with a net increase of 10.2 million mobile customers in the third quarter, and the growth in the number of mobile customers continued to improve; the number of 5G package customers reached 331 million, and the number of 5G network customers reached 160 million, and the customer structure continued to be optimized.

In terms of wired broadband business, as of September 30, 2021, the total number of China Mobile's wired broadband customers reached 235 million, with a net increase of 25.03 million in the first three quarters, including a net increase of 21.64 million household broadband customers. In the first three quarters, the wired broadband ARPU was RMB 34.8, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%, and the comprehensive household broadband ARPU was RMB 39.8, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%.
