I believe that many people are excited about 5G networks. Many people followed Huawei into the 5G era, but they found that it was not what they imagined. After all, 5G networks are too advanced and expensive, which makes many people unacceptable.
The current 5G technology is not very mature and there are no application scenarios yet. To be honest, 5G network is indeed much more advanced than 3G and 4G. 5G is indeed leading the rapid development of this era, but it is developing too fast and its disadvantages are also revealed one by one. I believe everyone knows that the 3G era has driven mobile e-commerce and social applications, and the 4G era has stimulated the rise of mobile payments and short videos. Even these killer applications only became popular in the next 2-4 years, because 3G and 4G have low maintenance and power consumption, so the investment costs were quickly recovered. Although 5G has driven industries such as 5G mines, 5G ports, and 5G+Industrial Internet, these application scenarios are not suitable for the people, and there has been no news of profitable 5G killer applications in the 5G era. It is because the span of the 5G network is too large that the current technology application scenarios cannot keep up, so the investment in 5G should be moderately advanced to give the masses a chance to adapt. If the people need a 3-5 year adaptation period, the maintenance and construction costs of 5G base stations will have broken through the sky. Take 4G for example. 4G is like the current high-speed rail, and 5G is the maglev train. Is the maglev train fast and advanced? It is very fast and advanced. But can you replace all the high-speed rails in the country with maglev trains? The ticket price of high-speed rail is already very high. If it is a maglev train, won’t the ticket price quadruple? Therefore, many countries are not so enthusiastic about 5G networks now, and only China is investing in 5G on a large scale regardless of cost. The application scenarios have not been planned yet, but you are building something that has not been planned on a large scale. Such a waste will definitely not be accepted by the people. If you want the people to accept it, you must constantly overcome major problems such as technology, application, and cost. There are no ready-made 5G applications for enterprises and governments nowadays. If we continue to develop the 5G field, we will have to pay a greater trial and error cost than in the 3G and 4G eras. If 5G is to be truly used by the public, it must be integrated with technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things to truly bring about revolutionary changes, such as edge computing and network slicing. Only by combining these technologies can we lead the intelligent transformation of various industries. Therefore, in the 5G technology era, we can make appropriate advance investments and develop in important and 5G industrial areas. There is no need for large-scale construction. After all, 5G has not yet been put into civilian use. That’s all for the above content. Thank you for reading and watching. For more information, please contact Moran Technology.
