As early as 2018, relevant departments in my country publicly stated that they had begun to study 6G. Then, in January 2019, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other departments held relevant meetings and announced the establishment of the "National 6G Technology R&D Promotion Working Group" and the "National 6G Technology R&D Overall Expert Group".

It can be seen that the country attaches great importance to the research and development of 6G. And the good news is that with the efforts of many people, my country has achieved good results in the research and development of 6G.

Because as early as November 2020, my country successfully launched the world's first 6G test satellite and carried out a series of experiments in space. This means that my country has made breakthrough progress in 6G. This year, China has accelerated the layout of 6G networks, not only increasing research and development in 6G, but also released the "6G Overall Vision and Potential Key Technologies" in June this year, deeply "dissecting" the application scenarios of 6G, laying a solid foundation for the development of 6G in my country.

In addition, earlier this year, on April 12, Xu Zhijun, the rotating chairman of Huawei, publicly mentioned that my country's 6G may be launched on the market around 2030. Of course, this is just a joke. However, my country's lead in 6G is indeed quite obvious. After all, with the advantages in 5G, my country is also somewhat "handy" in developing 6G.

But we should be careful not to be too complacent. Because other countries are doing their best to develop 6G, including the United States and Japan, which are technological powers, and it is not impossible for us to be overtaken in the future.

Following the United States and Japan, another country is betting on 6G, spending hundreds of billions

As the world's recognized largest country, the United States naturally does not want to lag behind in 6G. As early as October last year, it joined forces with high-tech companies such as Qualcomm, Microsoft, Samsung, and Nokia to establish the "6G Alliance" to achieve results in 6G. In April this year, the United States also cooperated with Japan to jointly invest $4.5 billion to start the research and development of 6G.

In addition, in addition to "joining forces" with the United States, Japan has also invested tens of billions of yen to promote the research and development of 6G. Of course, it is not only the United States and Japan that are "betting" on 6G. Now South Korea has also joined the "battlefield" of 6G.

According to a report by China Business News on July 13, South Korea has announced its 6G development goals. It is understood that South Korea will spend 220 billion won (about 1.24 billion yuan) to support the development of 6G from 2021 to 2025. Moreover, it is expected that South Korea will start the 6G pilot in 2026, and 6G may be commercialized in 2028. This is two years ahead of the commercialization time announced by other countries.
