According to the "China Internet Information Office" on June 11, in response to the strong public complaints about the illegal acquisition, excessive collection, excessive rights and other violations of personal information by apps, the Cyberspace Administration of China has organized a test of the collection and use of personal information by some apps that are widely used by the public, such as sports and fitness, news and information, live streaming, app stores, and women's health, in accordance with the "Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China", "Methods for Identifying Illegal and Irregular Collection and Use of Personal Information by Apps", "Regulations on the Scope of Necessary Personal Information for Common Types of Mobile Internet Applications" and other laws and relevant regulations. The relevant situation is now reported as follows:

2. News and Information Apps


3. Live streaming apps


4. App Store Apps


5. Women’s Health Apps


6. Online Shopping Apps


7. Learning and Education Apps


8. Dating and Marriage Apps


For the problems found in the inspection, the relevant App operators shall complete the rectification within 15 working days from the date of publication of this notice, and send the rectification report with the official seal to the email address: [email protected]. The local Cyberspace Administration of China shall guide and urge the App operators in their regions to make rectifications within the time limit as required. If the rectification is not completed within the time limit, the Cyberspace Administration of China will deal with it in accordance with the law.
