After the satellite Internet deployment is completed, OneWeb will enable user terminals supporting 3G, LTE, 5G and Wi-Fi coverage to provide global high-speed Internet access. The company hopes to expand services to the UK, Alaska, Canada, Northern Europe, Greenland, Iceland and the Arctic underserved northern regions by the end of the year, and provide global services from 2022.

Earlier, it was reported that OneWeb, as an important competitor of SpaceX, is competing with SpaceX for satellite Internet coverage in the Arctic. For the US military, the Arctic is almost a desert area with broadband, and billions of dollars of government funds are exerting great attraction on communication companies.
