Canadian telecom operator Rogers shuts down its network on a large scale

According to foreign media, Rogers, one of Canada's three major operators, and its subsidiary Fido recently experienced a large-scale Internet outage, resulting in Internet outages in most parts of Canada, and problems with the inability to make calls and use wireless networks in many places.

Rogers is one of Canada's largest communications companies. The company was founded in Toronto, Canada in 1920. Its business areas include cable TV distribution, video retail, digital PCS, page and data communications, high-speed Internet access, television broadcasting, professional channel business, telecommunications stores and new media business. Its publishing group publishes consumer magazines, professional business journals and directories. The company has been one of Canada's top 500 companies since 1995.

It is reported that Rogers and Fido each published a brief statement on their official website, saying that some of their users experienced temporary Internet outages and that they are currently working on repairs, but did not explain the reason.
