At present, the number of users of 5G packages has exceeded 350 million, and the unit price of 5G packages has dropped to 4.4 yuan per G. To a certain extent, many dual-card users who originally used secondary cards of traffic packages have become single-card users.

Zhao Zhiguo, director of the Information and Communications Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that with the implementation of speed increase and fee reduction and the development of 5G across the country, the unit price of network traffic in my country has dropped significantly and 5G package users have been rapidly promoted.

It is understood that China has built the world's largest 5G mobile network, with the number of 5G mobile terminal connections reaching 260 million and a total of 718,000 5G base stations built.

In terms of speed increase, my country has built the world's largest broadband network infrastructure, achieving 'same network and same speed' in rural and urban areas; in terms of fee reduction, the average charges per unit bandwidth of fixed broadband and per unit traffic of mobile networks have dropped by more than 95%.

It is worth mentioning that China Mobile’s operating data for March 2021 showed that the number of 5G customers increased by 15.593 million in March, reaching a total of 188.761 million, and the number of 4G customers increased by 7 million, reaching a total of 788.333 million.
