Xiao Yaqing from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: 6G is currently in the exploratory stage

In November 2019, my country established the National 6G Technology R&D Promotion Working Group and the Overall Expert Group, marking the official launch of China's 6G R&D. In addition to China, countries and organizations such as the United States, the European Union, Japan, and South Korea have also begun 6G technology R&D work.

On March 1, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the morning of the 1st, and Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xiao Yaqing introduced the development of industry and information technology.

Xiao Yaqing said that 6G is currently in the exploratory stage. We are also interacting with the international community to promote common standards, long-term needs, and technological maturity. We need to communicate and discuss with industry friends from all over the world to jointly promote new developments.

6G, the sixth generation of mobile communication technology, has a data transmission rate that may reach 50 times that of 5G, and the latency is shortened to one tenth of that of 5G. It not only represents a further improvement in network speed, but can also be used in many fields to make people's lives more efficient and convenient.
