The 2020 China Artificial Intelligence Summit Forum and China Artificial Intelligence Competition Results Conference was held in Xiamen on the 23rd. At the forum, Liu Liehong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, introduced that as of November this year, my country has built a total of 718,000 5G base stations, providing solid support for the growth and transmission of massive data of artificial intelligence.

The 14th Five-Year Plan and the long-term goals for 2035 clearly propose to promote the deep integration of the Internet, big data, and artificial intelligence with various industries and promote the development of advanced manufacturing clusters.

Liu Liehong said that artificial intelligence is developing in an integrated manner with 5G and the industrial Internet. At present, the scale of my country's core artificial intelligence industry has exceeded 100 billion yuan, the number of enterprises has exceeded 2,600, and the industry continues to grow; the total number of data center racks in use nationwide is now nearly 4 million, with an average growth rate of more than 30% in the past five years; there are more than 250 large-scale data centers, which provide a solid data foundation for the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the industry.

On the same day, the forum released the results of the 2020 China Artificial Intelligence Competition. 28 teams received A-level and B-level certificates for the Artificial Intelligence Competition. 15 projects including the "Intelligent Guide System" of the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences were awarded "AI Innovation Stars".

In addition, the Xiamen Artificial Intelligence Security Research Institute and Xiamen Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park were also unveiled at the forum. At the same time, 10 projects in Xiamen were signed at the forum, with a total investment of about 4 billion yuan, covering multiple fields such as artificial intelligence foundation, technology, application and business cooperation.

It is reported that the 2020 China Artificial Intelligence Summit Forum and China Artificial Intelligence Competition Results Release Conference is guided by the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China and the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China, and hosted by the Xiamen Municipal People's Government.
