Bi Shouwen, Vice President of New H3C Group and President of Network Product Line, was invited to attend the theme forum of "New Network for 2030" and delivered a keynote speech entitled "In the Era of All Intelligence, New H3C Network Adapts with Intelligence".

In his speech, Bi Shouwen gave an in-depth interpretation of the H3C Group's intelligent connection strategy and looked forward to the technological evolution and commercial realization of the network in 2030. Bi Shouwen pointed out that H3C will implement the intelligent connection strategy based on the four capabilities of "one architecture, one set of solutions, full-stack products, and self-developed chips". Bi Shouwen pointed out that this year, H3C Group released the "AI in ALL" intelligent strategy and its specific implementation plan "Digital Brain Plan 2020", which aims to enhance the capabilities of each key component in the digital brain's constituent modules through the comprehensive implantation of AI. As an important part of the digital infrastructure in the digital brain's 4+N architecture, H3C's "intelligent connection" accelerates the intelligence and innovation of infrastructure through network reconstruction, freeing customers from the network and focusing more on the development and innovation of their own businesses. H3C will help customers build ultra-broad, intelligent, converged, trusted, and minimalist network connections, and promote the network from the automation and self-optimization stage to the goal of network autonomy by introducing and integrating intelligent technologies.

Four-in-one layout supports the implementation of intelligent connection strategy

Bi Shouwen said that the core vision of H3C Group's intelligent connectivity is to enable a smart future with intelligent connectivity. In the era of intelligence, intelligent connectivity is not just about simply solving connectivity problems, but about enabling the network to better support upper-layer business operations, that is, the network is driven by applications and changes with business needs."

Based on this vision, H3C Group has built four core capabilities: "one architecture, one set of solutions, full-stack products, and self-developed chips" to support the implementation of its intelligent connectivity strategy.

One architecture is the Prophet Network Architecture SNA, which integrates advanced technologies such as AI, big data, and security to build a full-process closed-loop mechanism of perception, analysis, execution, optimization, and trust, and realize intelligent management of the entire life cycle of the network from design, deployment, and operation and maintenance. A set of solutions is the AD-NET application-driven network solution. Based on the original full-scenario, full-domain, and full-life cycle intelligent network, it helps customers identify and isolate sub-healthy states of the network, ensure high availability of the network, and realize self-diagnostic and self-isolated networks, taking another step towards autonomous networks. The full-stack products cover intelligent connection products in multiple fields such as routers, switches, enterprise-level wireless, IoT, mobile communications, network security, and network software, and rank first in multiple markets. Self-developed chips, namely H3C Semiconductor, rely on rich experience in technical fields such as networks, multi-core processors, and high-speed interfaces to create network processor chips with independent intellectual property rights.

Bi Shouwen emphasized that H3C has always adhered to the concept of ecological win-win in its chip strategy. Whether it is commercial chips or self-developed chips, it is to better build and realize the product layout in the "intelligent connection" strategy and provide customers with intelligent, secure and reliable network products.

Technology and business dance together: integrated evolution wins the future

In Bi Shouwen's view, technological development needs to be coordinated with business development to support the healthy development of the industry. In terms of technological evolution and innovation, H3C Group continues to track and promote technological development, and has achieved continuous breakthroughs at multiple levels from chips to applications. It is not only the first in the industry to release 400G switches, but also continues to make breakthroughs in 5G, white box switches, SDN openness and other fields; in terms of business needs and implementation, H3C starts from user experience and provides instant delivery, extremely simple deployment, and reliable, intelligent, and secure end-to-end network services for the future. Along with the trend of business automation, resource self-optimization, and capability autonomy, it continues to promote the implementation of the intelligent connection strategy.

In terms of business practice, H3C Group and USTC continue to carry out innovative pilot projects around the integration of computing and networks, including the verification and deployment of intelligent unified scheduling solutions for computing networks, and more than ten nodes have been deployed in China. At the same time, the two parties jointly verified the intelligent orchestration solution for WAN connection resources, using AI algorithms to implement on-demand deployment of containerized applications and intelligent scheduling of wide-area traffic through SD-WAN controllers. In terms of products, H3C's SeerBlade intelligent AI engine achieves 123T FLOPs computing power, and the S12500 new generation 400G core switch has been deployed in multiple industries.

Bi Shouwen pointed out that ten years ago, the network and computing were independent of each other, and the network was a passive connection; now, in the cloud environment, resources are coordinated on demand, and the network must support active connection; by 2030, ICT will eventually converge, and the network will achieve integrated management, control and editing. At present, the industry has explored integration solutions around the technical evolution direction of computing power + network. As a leader in the field of "intelligent connection", H3C has taken solid steps.
