AI-powered platforms enable business agility, help operators achieve digital transformation and achieve business success

[Shenzhen, China, July 30, 2020] Today, at the "Services and Software Enabling Business Success" sub-forum of Huawei's 2020 Win-Win Global Online Summit, telecom operators, analysts, partners and Huawei from around the world shared how AI can make networks smarter and operations more intelligent and efficient in future-oriented operations, thereby helping operators' digital transformation and moving towards business success.

Tang Qibing, President of Huawei's Global Technical Service Department, pointed out that "the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has posed huge challenges to the operations of telecom operators and accelerated their digital transformation process. Huawei uses AI-enabled platforms and professional services to help telecom operators achieve transformation, improve operational efficiency and intelligence, and support the entire process of their digital transformation."

Tang Qibing, President of Huawei Global Technical Services, delivered a keynote speech

Digital platforms with AI capabilities can enable telecom operators to respond more quickly to changes in the market, customers, and networks, making their operations simpler and smarter. For example, Huawei Cloud Contact Center Solution (AICC) features video, intelligence, and an open platform, and together with operators, provides intelligent customer service for different business scenarios for customers in industries such as government affairs, medical care, insurance, the Internet, and banking. The AI-enabled business intelligence platform can quickly respond to changes in user behavior and hotspot traffic patterns, and can also ensure normal business operations and service quality in emergencies. Huawei integrates AI with network operation and optimization to detect potential network failures in advance, reduce the number of failures and service interruptions, and ensure high network availability, thereby greatly improving user experience and satisfaction. The integrated service delivery platform helps accelerate automated delivery processes and operations, greatly improving network construction efficiency.

Tang Qibing emphasized that Huawei Services will continue to invest in AI and digital platforms so that our business and GDE platform can help telecom operators in their digital transformation, provide new digital services more easily, optimize networks and improve business performance more efficiently, and deploy and operate networks more agilely, ultimately leading operators to commercial success.

Huawei's AI-enabled digital platform has achieved commercial success in the practice of digital transformation of operators. At this forum, guests from China Unicom shared their cooperation with Huawei's operator consulting department on 5G application industry research and its exploration and practice of enabling enterprise digital transformation. Guests from China Mobile Hebei Branch shared their successful experience in supporting smart network optimization through digital transformation in 4G/5G collaboration with Huawei. Analysts from consulting firm Omdia surveyed the digital transformation of global mobile operators and found that building a unified digital platform and consolidating and improving network operation efficiency are one of the core elements. Safaricom shared the new revenue growth brought to it by the M-PESA financial services in cooperation with Huawei.

Over the past 30 years, Huawei Services and Software have provided professional services for 1,500 networks of more than 300 telecom operators around the world. Currently, we maintain more than 18 million network elements, handle more than 200 major incidents each year, provide more than 600,000 technical supports, solve more than 1 million problem tickets, and provide security for communication services and voice calls for 3 billion people around the world. How can Huawei do this? Wang Yifan, President of Huawei Services and Software Marketing and Solution Sales Department, pointed out, "We rely on Huawei's reliable and professional service system, as well as open and agile digital platforms to improve our own efficiency, better serve customers, and promote industry development."
