2017 Global Internet Economy Conference opens in Beijing; the era of Internet of Everything has arrived

On the morning of September 5, the GIEC2017 Global Internet Economy Conference with the theme of "Internet of Everything, Fusion of the Future" was grandly opened at the Beijing International Convention Center. The conference attracted nearly 100 companies and institutions including Tencent, Ping An, Baidu, Alibaba, 360, Beijing E-Commerce Center, China Fortune Land Development, Tongzhou Business Park, Yiche, and China Unicom to participate in various aspects of the conference. The conference will last until September 6.

Recently, Premier Li Keqiang signed and approved, and the State Council issued, the "Guiding Opinions on Further Expanding and Upgrading Information Consumption to Continuously Release Domestic Demand Potential". The "Opinions" clarified the development goals of information consumption. By 2020, 5G will be commercialized, and the scale of information consumption is expected to reach 6 trillion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of more than 11%. The upcoming 5G has made many people excited, and the era of the Internet of Everything has arrived.

GIEC2017 Global Internet Economy Conference focuses on the theme of "Internet of Everything, Fusion Future", and builds a platform for opportunities and collision of ideas before 5G sets sail. Nearly 100 big names participated in keynote speeches and roundtable dialogues. During this conference, Tencent brought two special events, namely the Smart Ecosystem Summit and the E-sports Summit. Ping An held a special press conference for Ping An Cloud to bring solutions for financial technology. Baidu Big Data also made a high-profile appearance to further showcase Baidu's big data ecology. Qianxun Location, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, invited partners such as Xiaomi and 360 to hold a roundtable theme dialogue on smart fusion at the Smart Summit.

During the two-day Global Internet Economy Conference, a total of 12 events were held, including the Internet Leaders Summit, the Internet Economy Awards Annual Ceremony, the New Retail Summit, the Smart Summit, the Fintech Summit, the Cross-border E-Commerce Summit, the Ping An Cloud Special Conference, the Digital Business Summit, the E-sports New Ecosystem Summit, the Big Data Summit, the Smart Ecosystem Development Summit and the 8th China E-Commerce Expo.

As a key event of the 2017 Global Internet Economy Conference, the "Internet Economy Awards" ceremony was held at the same time. More than 30 companies including Ping An, 360, and China Unicom won the "2016-2017 Internet Economy Awards". This award is the most eye-catching Internet + industry selection event in the world, providing authoritative and guiding reference opinions for industry development and investment, and an annual review and inventory of the industry.
