[51CTO.com original article] In late summer 2017, the "2017 University Information Technology Integration Application Seminar" was grandly held at Xidian University, hosted by the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education, undertaken by Xidian University, and co-organized by Tsinghua Unigroup's H3C Group and China Education Network magazine. The development path of China's educational informatization

China's educational informatization construction began in the 1980s. More than 20 years ago, China's educational and scientific research computer network was put into construction. At that time, hardware equipment was scarce. College teachers were learning microcomputer language, teaching students to be familiar with computers and programming, and cultivating basic information literacy. In the late 1990s, my country's educational informatization construction changed. 20 years ago, schools began to focus on networking, which was equivalent to our country starting to build the Internet. On the one hand, colleges and universities bought computers, and on the other hand, they supported networking to carry out teaching work. After entering the millennium, most colleges and universities have been able to connect to the Internet. 10 years ago, some advanced schools began to apply various systems, including teaching and management, scientific research management, personnel management, and logistics management, and gradually developed into a one-card system. That is to say, almost ten years ago, various schools began to systematically use new technologies to assist teaching and management, and various school management.

As education informatization develops to this day, some universities have found that the phenomenon of information diversion in various systems has become out of touch with the development of the times. For example, the integration capabilities of the campus network systems of some universities are not strong. Students and teachers fill in some data in this system and some data in that system, which is very unfavorable for integration and statistics. Therefore, education informatization has encountered the problem of how to solve the problem of information diversion and how to build a large platform. This requires the dual support of national policies and enterprises. At this seminar, the Science and Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Education and H3C Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

Such new technologies have changed the way knowledge is disseminated: for example, Tsinghua University's "Student Online" system and Shanghai Jiaotong University's "Good University" system are both MOOC models of Chinese universities. MOOC is different from online open courses. Online open courses only provide teaching materials, while MOOC is a kind of teaching thinking. MOOC adopts a completely self-study model, providing the entire teaching process online, online selection of subjects, online selection of teachers, self-study and taking exams. If you can pass the exam online, the school will issue the relevant certificate to the student. No one checks the progress or supervises, and the student's learning is entirely based on his or her willingness. Cross-disciplinary university departments are no longer a problem.

According to statistics from a certain MOOC website, among more than 1,000 MOOC courses, the number of Chinese students registered ranked 18th, but the number of people who completed the exam and obtained the certificate did not enter the top 30 in the world. This shows that my country has an obvious advantage in the number of Internet users registered, but the number of students who actually participate in the entire MOOC process is not dominant. There is still a period of transformation in teaching mode and learning concept.

The development of online teaching technology will completely break through the limitations of current educational resources. Under the promotion and supervision of the national education department, our future generations are expected to face a completely equal higher education platform. Excellent teachers and teaching content will be carried out in the form of online courses, and the form of examination will be more fair and effective. Traditional university entities are still there, but the universities of the future will enter the students with a brand new attitude. The policy, hardware, technology, and ethical issues involved are all aspects that all educators and technology companies need to consider and work hard on.
