Digital Stargazing joins hands with Gu'an Tianxia and Yunti to launch new products to explore the value of security services with big data

[Original article from 51CTO.com] On November 29th, at Shichahai, which is known as "West Lake in Spring, Qinhuai in Summer, and Dongting in Autumn", Digital Stargazing, together with Gu'an Tianxia and Yunti, announced to jointly create a new security operation model with the security threat management operation platform - the Stargazing Observatory as the core.

At the meeting, relevant persons in charge of the three companies stated that they would integrate the country's first security rating service (SRS) - Security Value in the Observatory, and connect it to the operator-level security product - Cloud Dike, to help users achieve closed-loop security operations from third-party risk assessment, to accurate threat detection, intelligent response, and then to threat disposal, making security management simpler.

After the meeting, Li Hua, general manager of Beijing Gu'an Tianxia Technology Co., Ltd., and Guo Liang of Beijing Digital Stargazing Technology Co., Ltd. were interviewed by reporters.

A 360° safe service platform with no blind spots

Talking about the tripartite cooperation, Guo Liang said that in addition to the personal reason that the three of them are friends for many years, they also have many common understandings of the current state of enterprise security. After careful consideration, the three parties carried out in-depth cooperation.

Li Hua told reporters that SRS (Safety Rating System) is a safety evaluation service, a third-party evaluation tool based on independent data resources, which can be used to make internal safety reports and risk management for third-party partners. Currently, it mainly collects data from various public and private resources, analyzes the data using specific analysis methods, and uses the entity's own standard rating methodology to score.

If enterprise users are not satisfied with scoring and want to know more about their own security status, then this is the time for the Star Observatory to show its prowess. Guo Liang said that the SaaS security operation platform Star Observatory has multi-dimensional security monitoring capabilities to help enterprises achieve security management operations and fully grasp the security status of information assets. At the same time, it aggregates massive threat intelligence data from third parties, which can help enterprise users see security boundaries, multi-dimensional detection, threat intelligence analysis, and intelligent response, thereby improving the effectiveness of security operations.

"When security issues such as DDoS attacks, domain name hijacking, and phishing websites occur, users can directly connect to the Yunti interface through the Observatory and handle threats at the operator level," said Guo Liang.

Obviously, Gu'an Tianxia's security value products are responsible for risk assessment of enterprises and the industries they are in, Digital Stargazing is responsible for the enterprise's security operations and intelligent response based on threat intelligence, and China Telecom Cloud Dike provides large-scale network resource protection and threat handling capabilities. In this way, a 360° security service platform with no blind spots was born.

Security services: a rising potential stock

When talking about the development and planning of security products, Li Hua told reporters that there is no unified standard for security services at present, but it will definitely be a mainstream development trend in the future. It is understood that 58% of security vendors abroad currently provide various security services, but in China, this number is less than 10%. "In the future, more and more companies will not consider purchasing software and hardware equipment first, but choose to go to the cloud and purchase cloud services, and secure cloud services are also an important point."

Guo Liang also agrees with this. He said that in the future, security products should be more based on the Internet perspective, and the products should be SaaS-based as much as possible, so that enterprise users can check their own security issues as long as they log in with their account and password. Of course, Guo Liang also said that SRS (safety value) and the Observatory are both security products based on big data, using big data technology to discover potential security risks for customers. Therefore, the various decision-making suggestions provided by big data products still need to be checked by experts and provide consulting services. "This is like going to the hospital for a B-ultrasound. Big data technology ultimately provides a B-ultrasound film, but doctors still need to use their medical knowledge to interpret and analyze the film."

Powering up in 2017

When the reporter asked what the advantages of the three parties jointly releasing security products were, Li Hua said that compared with traditional network security vendors, Gu'an Tianxia and Digital Stargazing had no historical baggage and could go into battle lightly. More importantly, security services are a brand new field, and it is difficult for traditional security vendors to play their product sales advantages, because corporate users are more concerned about the professionalism of the service, how to provide users with a better user experience and a higher quality service experience, which is exactly the specialty of the Internet model. "Using the Internet model to provide professional security services is our natural gene, and this advantage will become more and more obvious in the future."

Guo Liang also said with a smile that the advantage of SaaS lies in the delivery of services, which is unmatched by traditional network security vendors. In addition, he also told reporters that Digital Stargazing's professional team can provide users with more professional security services. The so-called more professional means that they understand security in operation and maintenance, and also understand operation and maintenance during security operations. "Enterprises also need such expert services."

2017 is coming. Looking forward to the development of network security in 2017, Li Hua said that SRS's scenario application for third-party risk management is very popular among users and is expected to be promoted vigorously next year. "Many users hope to get the security value score of suppliers as a criterion for purchasing."
