The first IPv6 Technology Application Innovation Competition Shandong Division was launched in Liaocheng

On October 28, the Shandong Division of the First IPv6 Technology Application Innovation Competition was launched in Liaocheng. The launch meeting was held in a combination of online and offline methods. Shi Youkang, deputy chief engineer of CAICT, Gao Bin, deputy director of the Cyberspace Administration of Shandong Provincial Committee, and Liu Qingfa, member of the Standing Committee of Liaocheng Municipal Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, delivered speeches in succession. Responsible persons from CAICT, provincial and municipal departments, relevant industry associations and enterprises attended the launch meeting.

The competition is hosted by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, the Provincial Cyberspace Administration of China, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Provincial Big Data Bureau, the Provincial Communications Administration, and the Shandong Branch of the National Computer Network and Information Security Management Center, and undertaken by Liaocheng Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Liaocheng Municipal People's Government, Shandong Computing Center (National Supercomputing Jinan Center), Shandong Economic and Informatization Development Research Institute, Shandong Information Resources Application Association, Shandong Communications Industry Association, Shandong Electronic Commerce Association, Shandong Flag Information Co., Ltd., Fujian Wanwu Yilian Network Technology Co., Ltd., and China Mobile Communications Group Shandong Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Liaocheng Digital Economy Association and Liaocheng Branch of China Mobile Communications Group Shandong Co., Ltd.

At the meeting, Cao Jiguang, deputy director of the Institute of Technology and Standards of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, introduced the first IPv6 Technology Application Innovation Competition. The theme of the competition is "Extreme Innovation and Intelligent Connection of Everything". It is open to the whole country to collect application solutions based on IPv6/IPv6+, aiming to promote the integration and development of IPv6 with all walks of life, establish benchmark applications, stimulate industrial innovation, promote talent training, and prosper the industrial ecology. It supports IPv6 in government, finance, energy, transportation and other key industries to carry out innovative technology demonstrations and large-scale applications, enhance the support capabilities of IPv6 networks for digital transformation and upgrading, and promote high-quality economic and social development. As the first sub-competition area launched in the country, the Shandong competition area has fully played a demonstration and leading role, widely mobilized the enthusiasm of all sectors of society to participate in the large-scale deployment and application of IPv6, and effectively stimulated the innovation and creativity of various industries and fields. It is of great significance to the smooth progress of the national competition.

At the meeting, representatives from Shandong Provincial Computing Center, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., China Mobile Communications Group, and Liaocheng Jinheng Smart City Operation Co., Ltd. exchanged views on IPv6 key technologies and applications, IPv6 industry digitalization, IPv6 and 5G construction, and IPv6 security assurance.
