Recently, it is understood that even though 2 and a half years have passed since 2019, which is known as the "first year of 5G", there are still a large number of mobile phone users who have not upgraded their mobile phone packages to 5G packages. According to the data surveyed by Dysdata, the reasons why users are still reluctant to upgrade to 5G are as follows:

1. Not buying a 5G phone. Although most of the recently released mobile phones can support 5G networks, there are still a large number of users who use mobile phones from two years ago, which cannot support 5G networks, making it unnecessary for users of these phones to upgrade to 5G packages.

2. 5G packages are too expensive. At present, the three major operators in China have launched their own 5G packages. Although upgrading to a 5G package does not require changing the number or the physical card, the high monthly fee of hundreds of yuan still scares away many users who intend to upgrade to 5G.

3. Imperfect 5G coverage. Although the three major operators are accelerating the construction of 5G signal towers, there are still many areas where 5G signals are very weak or even non-existent. In this case, the 4G signal, which has been under construction for many years, is much more stable than 5G.

4. 5G applications are immature. Currently, there is no mobile application that can fully utilize the 5G network speed. Most of the things that 5G networks can do can also be done by 4G networks, which makes users even less motivated to upgrade.

5. In addition to the above reasons, there are some other reasons. For example, 5G network consumes more power than 4G network, and 5G network makes the phone generate more heat.

In general, although some users have not yet upgraded to the 5G network, with the maturity of 5G technology, the construction of signal towers and the reduction of package prices, I believe that more and more users will upgrade to the 5G network.
