So, as a hot topic in the past two years, what can 5G, also one of the intelligent technologies, bring to the development of smart education?

As we all know, my country has built more than 900,000 5G base stations, and 5G networks have basically achieved coverage in major cities. Such rapid 5G development is expected to bring three kinds of help to smart education: first, it will promote distance education and solve the problem of uneven resources; second, it will help information management and accelerate the migration of education intelligence to the cloud; and third, it will help campus security and promote the upgrade of education safety.

On the first point, the current uneven distribution of educational resources in my country is quite obvious, and there is a large gap in education between regions. The emergence and application of 5G has brought new ideas and new methods to solve these problems. With its high efficiency, low latency and large capacity, 5G can greatly upgrade the functions of distance education, an old form of education, and give it a new look, becoming an effective means to solve the problem of uneven distribution of educational resources.

As for the second point, at present, my country's education still has problems such as outdated teaching methods, low education quality, and high teaching pressure. The application of 5G can also eradicate these problems from two aspects. In teaching, 5G can further amplify the teaching functions and effects of equipment by adding new teaching aids such as robots; in management, 5G can also transform the traditional human resource management model into a digital and information-based one.

In addition, as for the third point, an important part of education is campus education. As a form of public education, the safety of campus education is particularly important. In the face of various bullying and violence incidents, 5G can further ensure campus safety by integrating with robots and drones to strengthen security inspections, and integrating with monitoring, access control and other equipment to upgrade management.
