The fourth largest operator is applying for a new LOGO and 5G broadcasting and television is expected to be seen within this year

The integration of the national radio and television system and the preparation for the release of 5G numbers are in full swing. Reporters recently learned that China Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd., with its new identity as the fourth largest operator, is applying for a new trademark.

The new trademark of radio and television is going through the process

According to information published by the National Intellectual Property Administration, the company applied for a total of 12 trademark information on April 1, involving a graphic and a text LOGO graphic. The relevant trademarks are currently going through the process stage.

The international classification of new trademark information involves: financial property management (two items), scientific instruments (two items), education and entertainment (two items), communication services (two items), website services (two items), and advertising sales (two items).

The text version of the trademark information applied for is still "China Radio and Television" (Chinese) and "CBN" (English abbreviation), and the applicant is "China Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd.", not China Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd.

The reporter found that most of the trademarks applied for by the company before April 1 are currently in an "expired" status.

It is worth noting that in March this year, China Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd., China Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd. and local provincial network companies held a meeting and used the new LOGO on the table. As for the design meaning of the graphic LOGO, the official has not yet made an official interpretation.

New trademark is expected to accelerate the integration of national radio and television networks

Wu Chunyong, an expert on the integration of three networks, told the Shanghai Securities News that at present, the external brands and images of cable networks across the country are mostly independent, including company names, logos, business scopes, etc. This is completely inconsistent with its status as the fourth largest operator in the current industrial development context.

The integration of the national cable network is advancing in depth. Since the beginning of this year, as many as nine radio and television network companies have changed their names at the industrial and commercial registration level, and the progress of local cable television network companies changing their names has been significantly accelerated.

Wu Chunyong believes that in the near future, the launch of the trademark of this new fourth largest operator will help the majority of users to have a new understanding of the new identity of the radio and television operator as soon as possible, help accelerate the integration of cable networks in various places and enable future radio and television operators to achieve industrialized operations of the entire process, the entire network, and all services.

Broadcasting and television 5G is expected to be available within this year

The new trademark will also help China Radio and Television in its 5G business.

Han Pu, general manager of Shaanxi Radio and Television Network, recently said that China Radio and Television plans to start releasing the "192" number segment this year and is currently making various preparations. He also made it clear that the radio and television products when the number release begins must reach the first-class level of operators.

Other branches are also eager to launch 5G services. On May 15, China Radio and Television Sichuan Network Co., Ltd. announced the launch of 8K services. The Sichuan company also launched F5G gigabit broadband and is expected to launch radio and television 5G services within the year.

Liang Xiaotao, general manager of China Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd., also publicly stated at the 2021 World Telecommunication and Information Society Day Conference held recently that China Radio and Television is actively implementing the national decision-making and deployment of jointly building and sharing 5G networks. It is expected that by the end of this year, China Radio and Television will work with China Mobile to complete the construction of 400,000 700MHz frequency band 5G base stations.

Liang Xiaotao introduced that with the support of industry partners, the 700MHz 5G industry chain is maturing. Among them, mobile phone terminals, which are hailed as the primary landing point of 5G technology, are the focus of China Radio and Television in promoting the maturity of the 700MHz industry chain. There are now nearly 100 5G mobile phones that support the 700MHz frequency band, covering high, medium and low-end consumer groups.
