Xiao Yaqing, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on March 1 that looking forward to the future, the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee has drawn up a grand blueprint for the development of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and even longer periods, emphasizing that the focus of economic development should be placed on the real economy, and that the country should be unswervingly built into a manufacturing power and a cyber power. The industrial and information technology system will scientifically grasp the new development stage, unswervingly implement the new development concept, adhere to the general tone of work of seeking progress while maintaining stability, take promoting high-quality development as the theme, take deepening supply-side structural reform as the main line, take reform and innovation as the fundamental driving force, take meeting people's growing needs for a better life as the fundamental purpose, coordinate development and security, take improving the modernization level of the industrial chain and supply chain as the focus and foothold, further consolidate the foundation, promote advantages, make up for shortcomings, strengthen weaknesses, and promote the construction of a manufacturing power and a cyber power to a new level.

Specifically, first, we need to implement the innovation-driven development strategy in depth and strengthen the strategic support for building a strong manufacturing country and a strong cyber power.
