The Wireless Network Alliance called it the most significant upgrade in 20 years. It is reported that the Wi-Fi Alliance has begun certification for the first batch of products that support Wi-Fi 6E.

According to IDC data, mobile phones, routers, laptops and other electronic devices that support Wi-Fi 6E will be put on the market in the first half of this year. By the middle of the year, smart TVs and VR devices that support Wi-Fi 6E are expected to appear. It is currently speculated that many electronic devices that support Wi-Fi 6E will be unveiled during the CES 2021 Consumer Electronics Show.

Compared with Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E uses a new 6GHz frequency band, which ranges from 5925-7125MHz and includes 7 160MHz channels, 14 80MHz channels, 29 40MHz channels, and 60 20MHz channels, greatly increasing wireless transmission capabilities. Currently, mobile phones that support Wi-Fi 6E have a maximum wireless rate of 3.6Gbps, which is 1200Mbps faster than Wi-Fi 6's 2400Mbps, and has lower latency.
