LTE is expected to reach its peak technical market share (63.3%) by the end of 2021 and its peak number of users (6.07 billion users) by the end of 2022. Starting in 2023, the LTE market is expected to begin a slow decline as users migrate to 5G. From the end of 2020 to the end of 2025, the GSM user market share will drop from 15.1% to 5.6%, and the WCDMA user market share will drop from 19.4% to 11.3%.
