Huawei's Shi Jilin: "Intelligent Body" requires innovation and development from customers and partners

On September 24, during Huawei Connect 2020, Huawei officially released the "Intelligent Body".

"Intelligent Body" is a reference architecture for the intelligent upgrade of government and enterprises. It is based on the cloud, with AI as the core, and cloud, network, edge and end collaboration to build an open intelligent system with three-dimensional perception, full-domain collaboration, accurate judgment and continuous evolution. Intelligent Body is an effective means to achieve full-scenario intelligence. "Intelligent Body" mainly includes four levels: intelligent interaction, intelligent connection, intelligent hub and intelligent application. It can perceive, think, execute and evolve. It is an integrated intelligent system with cloud, network, edge and end collaboration, helping government and enterprises to further enhance their core competitiveness.

In the view of Ms. Shi Jilin, President of Huawei Cloud and Computing International Business Department and President of Huawei Cloud and Computing Marketing Department, the proposal of "intelligent body" is just in time. 5G's ultra-large bandwidth, ultra-low latency and ultra-multiple connections are helping us achieve seamless network coverage and the interconnection of all things. In addition, technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence are being rapidly put into practice in all walks of life. The deep integration and synergy of these technologies will eventually make the dream of "intelligent body" come true.

In an interview with four guests, including Huang Sulong, President of Cathay New Point, Zou Sheng, Chairman of Sinovel Financial Technology, and Zhou Zhengang, Vice President of IDC China, she emphasized that although the concept of "intelligent body" was proposed by Huawei, it belongs to the entire industry and empowers various industries. Customers and partners can create various intelligent solutions based on the reference architecture of "intelligent body" and jointly realize full-scenario intelligence.

Taking smart cities as an example, the country has identified more than 700 smart city pilot projects. Through global perception, intelligent bodies can sink intelligence into all aspects of the city, giving the city digital life and making the city smarter. Huang Sulong, president of Cathay New Point, said that smart cities will be one of the most promising application areas of "intelligent bodies" in the future. "Intelligent bodies" will play an important role in achieving accurate analysis, system prediction, coordinated command, scientific governance and scenario-based services across the entire city.

In the financial securities industry, Zou Sheng, chairman of Huarui Financial Technology, believes that intelligent bodies will empower the financial industry with artificial intelligence, distributed technology, cloud computing, big data and other technologies as the core, further improve the efficiency of data processing, storage, analysis and mining, and enhance intelligent capabilities. In the future, all aspects including risk control, product development, customer marketing and service will be built through intelligent bodies to create a new financial model with personalized services, intelligent operations and open ecology.

Zhou Zhengang, vice president of IDC China, believes that the social network in the future will also achieve a "decentralized" state with the development of intelligent technology, and will organize, manage, optimize, and grow on its own based on full-scenario intelligence, and provide personalized services to meet different needs based on the characteristics of different industries and enterprises. In this process, intelligent bodies have become a practical means for the intelligent upgrade of government and enterprises.

Shi Jilin introduced that "Intelligent Body" is a technical reference architecture shared by the industry and an open ecosystem that requires joint innovation and development by Huawei, customers, and partners. A prosperous software and service ecosystem and edge computing ecosystem are the key to the development of intelligent body and will also give rise to two major industrial opportunities.

At Huawei Connect 2020, Huawei also launched three major ecosystem construction plans: the Edge Computing Ecosystem Plan, the Application Software Ecosystem Plan, and the Developer Ecosystem Partner Plan, to help more partners join the "intelligent body" ecosystem.

It is understood that Huawei will vigorously develop the edge computing industry and focus on building China's own software service ecosystem. At the same time, it will better support cooperative developers through the "Fertile Soil Plan 2.0", and work with communities and universities to cultivate developers globally, providing a continuous source of new impetus for the innovation of "intelligent bodies" and sharing the dividends brought by intelligent upgrades.
