Aruba and Digital China work together to build a smart campus project

On September 19, during the Atmosphere 2017 conference initiated by Aruba, Digital China and HPE signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly promote the construction of smart campuses. Aruba will serve as a Wi-Fi solution provider and work with Digital China and HPEFS to deploy wireless network equipment and services to more campuses.

On the same day, senior executives including Guo Wei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shenzhou Holdings and Chairman of Digital China Group, Keerti Melkote, Global Senior Vice President of HPE and General Manager of Aruba Business Unit, Alain Carpentier, Senior Vice President of Global Sales of HPE, Steve Wood, President of HPE Aruba Asia Pacific and General Manager of Aruba Business Unit, and Michele Madonini, President of HPEFS Asia Pacific, attended the signing ceremony and visited the innovation exhibition area of ​​the Atmosphere Conference together to learn about the world's leading network technology achievements such as mobile networks, IoT and automation technologies.

According to the cooperation framework, Aruba, Digital China, and HPEFS will build an innovative "Wi-Fi as a Service" operation model around smart campuses and construct a wired and wireless network environment for schools. They will also build a platform based on new technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and mobile Internet to fully integrate the school's teaching, scientific research, management, and students' learning, life, and entertainment, provide teachers and students with a smart teaching and living environment, and promote the overall construction of a smart campus.

As a global leading provider of next-generation network solutions, Aruba has advanced technology, a complete product line and rich experience in the field of university information construction. According to the company, the Aruba 8400 core switch series products released by Aruba in June this year will also be applied to the construction of smart campuses. This series of products is supported by Aruba's new software system ArubaOS-CX, which has achieved breakthroughs in the core and integration of campus networks, extending intelligence from the edge to the core, and can simultaneously meet the campus network's needs for instant visibility, higher security, deeper troubleshooting and more convenient automation. In addition, the technical team will also formulate a reasonable implementation plan based on the actual needs of the school to ensure that the powerful performance of Aruba products is brought into play.

In terms of exploring and expanding smart campus business, Digital China and Aruba each have advantageous resources and a solid foundation, which can be described as a strong combination. He expressed the hope that the two sides will take this cooperation as an opportunity to jointly promote the construction of China's smart campus, become the builder of smart campus, the practitioner of the education big data industry ecosystem, and the leader of the new economic model of the smart education industry.

At present, the smart campus cloud service project has been implemented in Qilu Medical College, Shandong Rizhao University Town and other colleges and parks. Aruba is working closely with Digital China to provide life services, teaching services, information services and campus security services through wired and wireless network operations, creating a comprehensive intelligent perception environment and comprehensive service platform.
