Electronic Port "shines the border" - see the operation and maintenance of the Urumqi branch of China Electronic Port Data Center "New Silk Road"

【51CTO.com article】 As the infrastructure of electronic port platforms in various parts of China is gradually improved, the customs clearance, logistics and business functions of the platform are further enriched, and the customs clearance of enterprises is more efficient, orderly and convenient. Among them, the Urumqi Branch of the China Electronic Port Data Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Data Branch"), located on the Silk Road, has not only stepped up the application of innovative technologies such as cloud computing, the Internet of Things, and big data to achieve the goal of improving service innovation capabilities, but also sought breakthroughs in the field of IT operation and maintenance management, using Beita Software BTSO products to create a smart operation and maintenance platform to ensure the smooth flow of core business.

IT operation and maintenance keeps pace with the times, and big data operation and maintenance carries the future

According to the technical staff of the data sub-center, the center currently has two core businesses. One is the customs pre-entry system, whose business system is in the data center. The Urumqi sub-center mainly ensures smooth network access; the other is the checkpoint system, including the warehouse checkpoint and the *** checkpoint. All inbound and outbound vehicles must pass through the checkpoint system before they can be released for customs clearance. While actively embracing emerging technologies, the data sub-center actively deployed IT operation and maintenance products as early as three years ago to seek intelligent IT management. However, the functional improvements of this product and the supporting service capabilities of the manufacturer have unexpected "sequelae".

First, the original operation and maintenance platform could not cope with the continuous growth of business. Some functions related to data, refinement, grading and role-based functions needed to be customized and developed again, and the development costs even exceeded the previous procurement costs.

Secondly, the network management software lacks localized services, and the operation and maintenance personnel of the data center find it difficult to obtain timely and effective processing and assistance when problems arise.

***, as IT enters the era of big data, the operation and maintenance monitoring system needs to collect tens of thousands of data every minute, and the massive data needs to be processed and analyzed to be valuable. Technical personnel must get rid of manual analysis to solve this work challenge.

The future electronic port management is crucial for the transformation and upgrading of Urumqi's foreign trade and the development of cross-border e-commerce. This will inevitably be supported by the use of technologies such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing and big data, and frequent data exchange and huge information sharing will put forward higher requirements for operation and maintenance management capabilities. Based on the above analysis, the data sub-center finally decided that it was necessary to build an intelligent operation and maintenance management system based on big data analysis.

From "events" to "data", IT operations and maintenance have achieved qualitative changes

In response to the above requirements, Beita Software sent experienced engineers to conduct multiple surveys and investigations on the actual environment of the data sub-center. The preliminary investigation found that the data sub-center has about 50 core network devices and about 50 hosts. At the same time, it is also necessary to provide operation and maintenance guarantee for the checkpoint systems of 17 ports and 90 supervision warehouses in Xinjiang, but these business systems cannot be judged "in advance" for their health status. Therefore, in order to establish the goal of smart management, it is necessary to realize IT operation and maintenance based on big data on the basis of basic monitoring, fault alarm and system display.

In response to the above requirements, Beita Software has proposed a comprehensive solution based on Beita BTSO:

First, we used Beita BTSO to solve basic monitoring problems, including real-time monitoring of the data center's network equipment, hosts, databases, standard applications, and the business associations of various operation and maintenance objects.

Secondly, through customized display functions, different colors such as "red, yellow, and green" are used to indicate the assessment status of network equipment and line load pressure, allowing operation and maintenance personnel to have a comprehensive and intuitive understanding of the network equipment load, line connectivity, and line load of the entire network.

***, give full play to the data-centric operation and maintenance model of Beita BTSO, deeply explore the value of operation and maintenance data through intelligent and automated means, and provide more accurate decision-making basis and trend analysis for daily operation and maintenance.

Regarding the implementation effect of the Beita BTSO product, the operation and maintenance personnel of the data sub-center said: "Unlike the traditional operation and maintenance system that focuses on events and fault location, BTSO is based on operation and maintenance data and focuses on intelligent operation and maintenance, which can better help us tap the value of operation and maintenance data. It can provide big data collection and storage capabilities of up to 47 billion fields, providing a powerful processing platform for intelligent analysis of various business systems of the electronic port."

Demonstrating the informatization of electronic ports, it was praised by representatives from West Asian countries

Since the Xinjiang Electronic Port was officially launched in Urumqi, it marks that Xinjiang port construction has entered a new stage with the help of modern information technology. The realization of functions such as one "portal" access, "one card", one authentication login and "one-stop" service meets the comprehensive information needs of all participants in the port, improves the port management level, reduces logistics costs, improves the overall competitiveness of the region, and promotes local economic development. As the main force of its informatization construction, the exploration and practice of the data sub-center in the field of IT operation and maintenance has also been recognized by leaders and users at all levels, and its shocking display effect has even been unanimously praised by visiting representatives from West Asian countries.
