Huawei releases SD-WAN private line solution to build enterprise wide area interconnection with ultimate experience

At HUAWEI CONNECT 2017, Huawei released the SD-WAN (Software-Defined WAN) interconnection private line solution and a series of universal computing gateways. The solution provides enterprises with on-demand interconnection between branches, branches and data centers, and branches and clouds, and builds a wide area interconnection with the ultimate experience for enterprises through application-level full-path intelligent routing and intelligent acceleration, and cloud-based visual operation and maintenance.

Huawei SD-WAN has been commercially used on a global scale, providing cost-effective enterprise Internet networks for customers such as finance, retail, and MSP. With the widespread application of SD-WAN, enterprises have put forward new demands in terms of experience, such as optimizing cross-border business experience, improving business deployment flexibility, and requiring more network functions and experience guarantees. Huawei's newly released SD-WAN interconnection dedicated line solution uses cloud technology to further provide enterprises with the ultimate application experience, VAS (Value Added Service) business acquisition experience, and operation and maintenance experience.

The series of open universal computing gateways released by Huawei this time include: AR1600 series, AR650 series, which support on-demand deployment of Huawei and third-party VAS (virtual firewall vFW, virtual WAN optimization controller vWOC, etc.) services to meet the deployment requirements of different branch scenarios. At the same time, it supports flexible orchestration and automatic delivery of VAS services, realizes minute-level acquisition of VAS services, and solves the problems of slow and inflexible enterprise service provisioning.

Ultimate O&M experience: Cloud-based visual O&M enables fault location within seconds

Huawei's SD-WAN interconnection dedicated line solution supports unified management of WAN/LAN, and supports end-to-end full-path visualization of applications based on GIS maps. It also uses automated operation and maintenance to quickly locate faults in seconds, reducing OPEX by 80%. In addition, the solution also supports multiple startup methods such as email startup and mobile phone code scanning, making devices plug-and-play and greatly improving startup efficiency.

As an early customer of Huawei's SD-WAN, Japan's SoftBank has begun to deploy the solution and plans to provide private line services to global and Japanese enterprise customers.
