Yunnan Yuxi and Huawei Enterprise Cloud deepen cooperation

On March 30, 2017, the People's Government of Yuxi City, Yunnan Province and Huawei signed a deepening cooperation agreement in Shenzhen. Based on the previous cooperation results, the two sides further expanded the cooperation areas and improved the cooperation level, and carried out all-round deepening cooperation in building the Yunnan Information Service Backup Center, Southwest Cross-border E-commerce Service Center, Minority Language Outsourcing Center, Southwest Big Data Processing Offshore Data Center, etc. Zhang Dehua, Deputy Secretary of the Yuxi Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Bao Mingshun, Deputy Secretary of the Yuxi Municipal Party Committee, and Yang Ruikai, President of Huawei Enterprise Cloud Business Department, attended the signing ceremony.

In 2014, Yuxi City and Huawei Enterprise Cloud reached a strategic cooperation in cloud computing. After nearly three years of cooperation, Huawei Enterprise Cloud has provided information services to more than 20 commissions, offices and bureaus in Yuxi City, created a unified government cloud platform for the entire city, and carried the construction of key applications such as Yuxi Education Cloud, Medical Cloud, and Maker Space, greatly improving the government's information level and public service efficiency. In addition, with the continuous deepening of cooperation between Huawei and Yuxi, a number of well-known information industry companies such as Huatang Group and Yizanpu have been attracted to settle in Yuxi, and they have cooperated in information service industries such as cloud computing and big data. The industrial agglomeration effect has gradually emerged, and the results of the construction of the industrial ecological environment are remarkable.

The deepening cooperation between the two parties will deeply combine Yuxi's unique location advantages, characteristic industry advantages and resource capabilities, as well as Huawei Enterprise Cloud's core technology and operational capabilities in the field of cloud computing, to further promote the development of Yuxi's cloud computing and big data industry, and accelerate the integration of industrial chain resources in new technologies and new models such as smart cities, big data, small language research and development, intelligent manufacturing, and cross-border e-commerce. It will help Yuxi become the "Yunnan Information Service Backup Center", "Southwest Cross-border E-commerce Service Center", "Small Language Outsourcing Center", and "Southwest Big Data Processing Offshore Data Center", and build Yuxi into an important national cloud computing industry base and a comprehensive big data ecological demonstration base, and a southwest big data hub node serving the country's "Belt and Road" construction, and build it into an international cloud computing service center based in Yunnan, serving the southwest, and radiating South Asia and Southeast Asia.

Zhang Dehua, deputy secretary of the Yuxi Municipal Party Committee and mayor, said that in recent years, Yuxi has actively developed the information industry, taking cloud computing and big data industries as opportunities for a new round of scientific and technological revolution and a breakthrough for achieving industrial transformation and upgrading. Since cooperating with Huawei, it has gradually built a cloud computing industry chain with characteristics and achieved remarkable results. It has occupied an important position in the development of cloud computing industry in Yunnan Province. Yuxi is full of confidence in the development of cloud computing industry. In the next step, it will be committed to making cloud computing and big data industries the "business card" of Yuxi's urban industry in the new era, integrating them into Yunnan Province's "Cloud on Cloud" plan, further increasing support, developing information industry according to local conditions, promoting big data development strategy, improving the quality and efficiency of economic development, optimizing the social development environment, and providing all-round services for the development of cloud computing industry in surrounding areas.

Yang Ruikai, President of Huawei Enterprise Cloud Business Unit, said that Yuxi has unique advantages in location, transportation, energy, and cost for the development of cloud industry. In the more than two years since Huawei Enterprise Cloud and Yuxi reached a strategic cooperation, it has effectively supported the development of Yuxi's cloud computing industry and greatly improved the city's governance capabilities and people's livelihood service level. The signing of the deepening cooperation agreement marks a new chapter in the cooperation between Huawei and Yuxi in the cloud computing industry. Huawei Enterprise Cloud will integrate innovative technologies and services in the fields of cloud computing and big data, and work with ecological partners to build Yuxi into a leading cloud computing and big data industry base in the southwest region and even the whole country, thereby driving the transformation and upgrading of Yuxi's industrial structure and the leapfrog development of social economy.

In the future, Huawei Enterprise Cloud will implement the "Cloud on Cloud" plan in Yunnan. Relying on Huawei Yuxi Cloud Computing Data Center, it will cooperate with more ecological application partners to assist in the construction and development of Yuxi's cloud industry ecosystem and promote the construction of Yunnan and Yuxi as radiation centers facing South Asia and Southeast Asia.
