Shandong issues six standards for e-government cloud platform construction

Recently, Shandong issued six standards in the fields of e-government public service cloud platform and government information resource management, and provided detailed interpretation of the application migration, application deployment, service catalog, government information resource identifier coding rules, core metadata, and catalog compilation guidelines of the e-government public service cloud platform.

The release and implementation of the six local standards will help improve the intensive construction and management level of e-government and promote the scientific allocation and effective use of government information resources. The application migration and deployment of the e-government cloud platform in our province is a system engineering involving complex processes and multiple roles. The cloud platform service catalog has many categories and the levels are constantly expanding. Therefore, the construction of the government information resource sharing and exchange platform requires standardized, organized and contextualized business guidance.

As a pilot province for e-government construction in the country, Shandong will build a cloud platform that meets the needs of provincial and municipal e-government in 3 to 5 years in accordance with the standards, complete the migration of business application systems at all levels to the cloud platform, basically achieve interconnection and information resource sharing, and preliminarily solve problems such as duplicate construction, information islands and information security. According to the e-government cloud platform timetable announced by Shandong, by 2020, more than 98% of e-government applications at the provincial and municipal levels will be deployed on the cloud platform.
