Born out of gathering, Huawei China Ecosystem Partner Conference 2017 enters the countdown!

[51CTO.com original article] Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province, is also known as the "Star City", and is known as the "Hometown of Qu and Jia" and the "Famous City of Chu and Han". One day later, Huawei's "ΣCO-Partner Huawei China Ecosystem Partner Conference 2017" will be held here. This will be an ecological partner event with 10,000 participants, bringing together ecological elites from various fields, and with the ecological concept of openness, cooperation, and win-win, to create a "digital transformation community" of "customers + partners + Huawei", work together to seize the transformation opportunities of the ICT market, and share ecological achievements.

People familiar with Huawei know that this conference was originally called the "Partner Conference". So why did the word "ecosystem" need to be highlighted in 2017? Why did this conference emphasize the core idea of "gathering to grow"? What big moves will this 2017 Ecosystem Conference make?

Let’s listen to the 51CTO reporter tell you one by one.

Ecological partners are born out of gathering

What is an "eco-partner"? This must start with Huawei's understanding of new ICT. In Huawei's view, the future ICT ecosystem will be an open, diverse, and win-win ecosystem. In the ICT ecosystem advocated by Huawei, every enterprise, regardless of size, as long as it has unique value and contribution, can form a community of interests that is mutually beneficial, symbiotic, and regenerative, and jointly build a prosperous ecosystem.

It is not difficult to see that on the ecological platform provided by Huawei, all partners are "eco-partners". They are the foundation of industry transformation built on new ICT technologies and platforms. Everyone gathers together for the common mission of digital transformation - born out of gathering. Therefore, Huawei Partner Conference has also become "ΣCO-Partner, Ecological Partner Conference".

"Platform" and "Ecosystem" drive digital transformation

In fact, from the changes in the themes of the conferences held by Huawei in recent years, we can also feel that Huawei is gradually building an open, elastic, flexible and secure "platform" to aggregate partners and build a cooperative and win-win "ecosystem". The "platform" and "ecosystem" are the dual wheels that drive customers in various industries to achieve digital transformation and thus achieve business success.

As Huawei explains, the "platform" is a technical platform for the ICT infrastructure based on the BDII action plan, a resource platform that opens up various capabilities to partners, and a service platform to ensure the commercial success of customers. The "ecosystem" is the new ecology of New ICT, which includes industry alliances that focus on the industry and jointly expand the industry, business alliances that promote customer commercial success, open source communities that realize community collaboration and innovation, and developers who activate innovation on the platform. The platform and the ecology are mutually causal and mutually reinforcing.

In terms of platforms, Huawei's product lines have grown steadily, with more than 300 industry cloud deployments and a new market share of more than 50%. In 2017, Huawei will further focus on the digital transformation of the industry. In addition to continuing to improve existing product solutions, it will also provide business-driven, innovative ICT infrastructure platforms, which are divided into industry solutions and horizontal solutions. Industry solutions are jointly focused on industry user needs by Huawei and its partners, while horizontal solutions emphasize the aggregation of IT, CT, and other new technology solutions, including cloud computing, big data, and the Internet of Things.

In terms of ecology, Huawei has taken the initiative to work on three levels. First, in terms of industry alliances, Huawei officially released the Smart City Ecosystem Action Plan in July 2016, and the first batch of more than 20 partners joined Huawei's Smart City Ecosystem. Second, in terms of business alliances, Huawei has carried out in-depth cooperation with SAP. It is not only the first SAP global technology partner, but also established the SAP-Huawei Joint Innovation Center. Third, in terms of aggregating a large number of developers, Huawei announced in 2015 that it would invest 1 billion US dollars in five years to implement the "Fertile Soil Developer Enablement Plan" (referred to as the "Fertile Soil Plan").

Based on the above strategy, the number of Huawei's partners continues to grow. By the end of 2016, the number of Huawei's production order partners has reached nearly 6,000; the number of preferred partners (OC) in prefecture-level markets has exceeded 1,000; the number of core partners has exceeded 700; the number of independent software developer (ISV) partners is 120; the number of partners in the smart city ecosystem is 21; and the number of strategic SP partners has exceeded 50.

Three highlights of the ΣCO-Partner Ecosystem Partner Conference

The reporter learned that the highlights of Huawei's "ΣCO-Partner Huawei China Ecosystem Partner Conference" are mainly concentrated in three aspects:

First, obtain business opportunities from partners, understand cooperation policies, and make digital transformation within reach;

The second is to listen to hundreds of industry leaders and spark wisdom. Participants can gain inspiration from more than 100 successful digital transformation cases shared. Nearly 30 open sub-forums allow people to experience the world's most cutting-edge digital transformation experience.

Third, in the exhibition hall, participants can experience the ICT infrastructure platform based on Huawei Cloud Data Center, the scenario-based business experience area based on various industry solutions, and the Σ-Talks presentation area, etc., aiming to create an industry-wide, multi-scenario, immersive industry digital transformation experience area for the guests, and through the deep integration of the ICT infrastructure platform and industry applications, demonstrate Huawei's ecological positioning as the soil and energy in the ICT ecosystem.

On March 9, ecosystem partners, industry leaders, and cross-industry elites from all fields will join hands with Huawei to present a feast of ideas on digital transformation for the participants. Let us look forward to the arrival of the Huawei China Ecosystem Partner Conference.
