China's 4G speed compared to the United States: the gap is amazing

In 2016, the number of China Mobile's 4G users exceeded 500 million, and China Unicom and China Telecom's total number was close to 300 million. China has built the 4G network with the largest population coverage.

However, the large base is due to our natural advantages, and more importantly, the network speed and quality. According to the Broadband Alliance, the average 4G download speed in my country was 11.83Mbps in the third quarter of last year.

So how does it compare to the technological powerhouse that is the United States?

During the Super Bowl, the CTO of US operator T-Mobile used a Samsung S7 to measure the real-time 4G network speed of the country's four major operators on site. Because there were hundreds of thousands of spectators at the venue, it was very busy.

As shown in the figure, they are AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile, and the numbers shown by SpeedTest are 54Mbps, 4Mbps, 52Mbps and 123Mbps respectively.

It is reported that Verizon, the world's largest operator, expanded and optimized its network capacity fourfold specifically for the Super Bowl, but it was a complete failure.

Of course, compared with my country's level of only 11Mbps, there is still a big gap with the mainstream in the United States.
