Recently, IT giant Microsoft announced a partnership with world-renowned network equipment supplier D-Link, and the two sides will work together to create the "SUPER WiFi" plan. The plan will create a new generation of long-distance wireless network solutions, aiming to make the global network without dead ends and help remote areas around the world solve network coverage problems. It is understood that the "SUPER WiFi" project jointly created by Microsoft and D-Link is an important part of Microsoft's global industrial ecosystem and has a milestone significance for the overall progress of WiFi technology. The project uses the "blank area" bands between TV channels to form a super wireless (Super WiFi) network between towns and cities, and can also provide basic broadband facilities in rural areas. In simple terms, this technology uses the blank channels of TV signals to send WiFi signals, without the need to build infrastructure like traditional networks, thereby greatly reducing network deployment costs. This new technology can effectively improve the quality of Wi-Fi transmission and significantly lower the threshold for popularizing WiFi networks, allowing hundreds of millions of people in remote areas to easily enjoy the changes brought about by the Internet. As an important partner of this project, D-Link has more than 30 years of experience in network deployment. D-Link said that the "SUPER WiFi" plan is completely consistent with D-Link's mission of "network everywhere, everyone can use it", and will fully use its advantages in network resources to help the "SUPER WiFi" plan thrive. D-Link Chairman Xuan Mingzhi pointed out: "D-Link is very honored to participate in Microsoft's 'SUPER WiFi' program. Together with Microsoft and other program partners, D-Link will make utmost efforts to build a more perfect global network environment." It is understood that the "SUPER WiFi" plan has already started in the United States, and pilot projects will be carried out in 25 countries and regions in the future. It may become an important driving force for the globalization of the Internet. |
