edgeNAT Hong Kong VPS host simple test

We have shared edgeNAT several times in the tribe. This is a Chinese host established in 2019. The products provided include VPS hosting and independent server rental. The merchant adjusted the Hong Kong VPS bandwidth for free upgrade last month, CN2+BGP network, and the minimum configuration starts from 5M. Today, we will do a simple test for your reference. The VPS host tested today is located in the Shatin computer room in Hong Kong, with China Telecom's round-trip CN2 line and China Mobile and China Unicom direct connection.

Host Configuration

The host involved in this article is based on the KVM architecture, configured with dual-core CPU + 2GB memory + 20GB hard disk, 5M upstream bandwidth, which is also the lowest package currently sold on the official website. The operating system is pure CentOS7.6, and no acceleration tools are installed

Basic Tests

More and more businesses no longer provide independent VPS management systems, and choose to manage the host in a one-stop manner in the member center. edgeNAT is no exception. The merchant VPS management page includes commonly used basic functions such as power on and off, restart, reinstall system, reset password, etc. It also has the host profile, monitoring, basic settings, security groups, etc.

IO/Bandwidth Test

IO/bandwidth is tested using a one-click package. There are two one-click packages, one for national feedback and one focusing on domestic nodes. Let’s look at the first one first.

The upstream bandwidth is consistent with the label, and the maximum downstream bandwidth is nearly 50Mbps. The following is mainly tested in various parts of China.

The merchant bandwidth is consistent with the package and can basically reach full peak capacity.

Using IPIP.NET to ping 370 nodes in China and Asia, the latency of the direct connection to Hong Kong is still excellent.
