Gcore (gcorelabs) Santa Clara VPS simple test

A few days ago, we posted simple test information of gcorelabs' VPS in Japan and Russia's Khabarovsk data centers. To be honest, these two data centers are still very good in most parts of China, with geographical advantages and low latency. Today, let's take a look at the United States. gcorelabs has 5 regions in the United States. I ordered Santa Clara (UAS) according to my personal preference. Of course, it is also the lowest configuration package based on KVM architecture. If you are interested in which data center, you can also tell me, and I will place an order and test it again after some time.

Computer room and configuration

The test host is located in the Santa Clara computer room in the United States (the website is written as USA, Santa Clara), with a configuration of 1 core CPU, 512MB memory, 20GB disk space, 200Mbps bandwidth, and the VPS operating system is CentOS7.*

Basic Information

Admin Panel

gcorelabs includes information such as the panel address and login account password in the host activation email. It uses an independent vmmanager panel, in which you can perform various functions such as restart, power on and off, reinstall, VNC, etc.

IO and bandwidth testing

I used 2 different scripts to test, and the results were basically the same.

The following is the test information obtained by another script. The bandwidth of machines in the United States is larger than that in Asia, and there are differences in different parts of the country.

Outbound Routing

The first is telecommunications , with tests from Shanghai Telecom and Guangdong Telecom respectively.

Next is the China Unicom test, Tianjin Unicom + Chongqing Unicom.

For mobile broadband, we chose mobile lines in Guangzhou, Guangdong and Xuzhou, Jiangsu.

China Telecom is pretty good for the outbound trip among the three networks, but China Unicom is not recommended as it is too far away via Germany, France and the UK.

Use the script to pass the three-network test in multiple regions, and post the results directly
