On February 28, the MWC2023 China Telecom-Huawei Cloud Network Core Capabilities Innovation Achievement Global Conference with the theme of "Cloud Network Integration to Create the Future" was held in Barcelona. Li Jun said that the rapid growth of the digital economy has brought new opportunities for the development of the communications industry. At present, China Telecom is fully and deeply implementing the cloud-to-digital transformation strategy, increasing technological innovation, continuously promoting cloud-network integration, and accelerating the creation of a service-oriented, technology-oriented, and security-oriented enterprise. Through the integration of cloud, AI, security, and platform, it will accelerate the upgrade of digital, scenario-based, and integrated products. China Telecom is working closely with Huawei to carry out joint innovation in digital infrastructure and industry digital transformation, promote the opening of the information "artery" for economic and social development, and jointly create a better future in the digital economy era.

In his speech, Li Peng pointed out that the digital economy driven by "data flow" is replacing the traditional economic model. The deep integration of digital technologies such as 5G, gigabit networks, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence with the real economy has opened up a huge space for operators to empower the digitalization of the industry. Huawei and China Telecom have strategic matching and complementary advantages. Through joint business innovation and technological innovation, they will work together to build "cloud network core capabilities" and promote the upgrade of the digital product system with "multi-factor integration".

China Telecom and Huawei have a long history of cooperation. Since the establishment of the Business Joint Innovation Center in 2018, the two parties have gradually expanded the breadth and depth of cooperation. In recent years, they have further made efforts in the field of scientific and technological innovation. In 2022, the two parties carried out a number of cooperative innovations around cloud network infrastructure and industry digital transformation.

At the meeting, Luo Rui, Deputy General Manager of China Telecom's Science and Technology Innovation Department, and Zhang Ziyan, Director of the Marketing Department of Huawei China Telecom System Department, shared the interim results achieved in the strategic cooperation between the two parties in 2022.

In terms of cloud network infrastructure, the two parties have carried out cooperative research on key technologies of Tianyi Cloud CTyunOS, green cloud network solutions, and cloud network self-intelligent operation systems, and have carried out existing network applications and experiments, which have greatly improved operational efficiency in multiple scenarios. In terms of industry digital transformation, they have jointly innovated in secure private lines, AI reasoning frameworks, 5G full-connection coverage, campus multi-network integration, and production-data multi-factor integration, and have completed a number of pilot projects. Some products and services have already served end customers.

At the press conference, the two parties jointly unveiled the "China Telecom Big Data and AI Center Ascend Artificial Intelligence Open Laboratory". Relying on this laboratory, the two parties will focus on AI big models, heterogeneous AI algorithm migration, unified reasoning framework and other directions to carry out joint research.

2023 Strategic Cooperation Action Plan

The two parties also jointly released the "2023 Strategic Cooperation Action Plan", which will be based on the core of scientific and technological innovation, and carry out deeper and broader strategic cooperation around Tianyi Visual Internet, Tianyi Cloud, IDC and DCI networking operations, cloud network operation self-intelligence, and multi-factor integration to produce digital standard products.
