How does cloud routing build a home intranet control system?

Labs Guide

Cloud Router = Cloud Router Platform + AOS-NET. The cloud router system for the home network realizes Wi-Fi service scheduling and Wi-Fi self-intelligent operation and maintenance functions through end-cloud linkage, ensures the Wi-Fi network's carrying quality for IoT services, and improves the quality perception and commitment guarantee of the home network. How to build the cloud router into the control center of the home network will be the focus of this article.

Part 01 Cloud Router Wi-Fi Service Scheduling Function

Wi-Fi service scheduling builds differentiated Wi-Fi service guarantees (different star-level Wi-Fi) for Internet devices and IoT devices. For example, for cameras, set up five-star Wi-Fi with high priority and exclusive bandwidth (for example, 200W pixel IPC, providing bandwidth of no less than 1Mbps), ensuring that when the Internet device utilization rate of Wi-Fi resources is close to 100%, the connection of IoT devices is not affected.

Cloud Router Wi-Fi Service Scheduling Strategy Example

IoT-specific Wi-Fi (Five-Star Wi-Fi)

  • Wi-Fi features: latency less than 30ms, packet loss rate less than 2%;
  • Wi-Fi access: 2.4G band, 6 channels, fixed bandwidth 20MHz;
  • QoS level (Quality of Service): mission-critical data;
  • L3 classification data: IPP=3, PHB=AF31, DSCP=26;

Regular Wi-Fi

  • Wi-Fi features: latency less than 60ms, packet loss rate less than 10%;
  • Wi-Fi access: 5G frequency band, channel self-optimization, bandwidth adaptation;
  • QoS level (Quality of Service): bulk data;
  • L3 classification data: IPP=1, PHB=AF11, DSCP=10;

Part 02 Wi-Fi self-intelligent operation and maintenance function

Cloud routing Wi-Fi self-intelligent operation and maintenance, intelligent self-checking of Wi-Fi changes, IoT poor quality identification and automatic tuning, and Wi-Fi cloud roaming;

For IoT devices, we build Wi-Fi self-intelligent operation and maintenance capabilities, including self-fault discovery, intranet intelligent self-check of router Wi-Fi changes, IoT device quality difference identification and automatic tuning, and Wi-Fi roaming. We provide operation and maintenance means for specific events in the home intranet (such as router Wi-Fi changes) and abnormal scenarios (such as abnormal operation of IoT devices), thus realizing autonomous driving in the home intranet.

Wi-Fi change smart self-check example:

1. The platform identifies the router Wi-Fi change operation (including changes made by users through the Hejiaqin APP or local web page), and saves the number of connected IoT terminals and the network quality before and after the Wi-Fi change.

2. The platform executes the Wi-Fi change self-check strategy to detect whether the IoT device is offline or the network quality has changed, and pushes the self-check results and recommended optimization solutions to the APP, and the user confirms the optimization solution.

3. The platform issues Wi-Fi optimization policies, which are executed by routers, redirecting IoT terminal access or adjusting Wi-Fi service scheduling for IoT devices.

The home intranet control system built based on cloud routing has greatly improved the perception of home intranet quality and the degree of commitment guarantee, providing home users with a better network experience.
