No wonder 4G is faster than 5G now. The secrets of 4G you don’t know

I don’t know if you have noticed that it is obviously a 5G network, but I always feel that there is no change compared to 4G. The only biggest change is that after using 5G, the traffic volume increases rapidly and it is used up in a short while!

Many people asked: It’s already 2022, and 5G has been commercially available for 3 years, so why is the speed not as fast as expected?

So many people are influenced by these remarks and think that "5G is useless"

is it correct?

In fact, the speed of 5G network is almost the same as that of 4G, so we can’t blame 5G entirely!

Why? Maybe it’s not that 5G is too lame, but that 4G has been secretly enhanced? What do you think?

So what is the secret of 4G's fast speed? There are three main reasons:

1. Thanks to LTE

What is LTE?

At this point, we have to learn about 3GPP. It was originally designed to allow a smooth transition from 2G networks to 3G networks to ensure the backward compatibility of various technologies and systems. Later, they also developed many drafts related to network communications.

3GPP released 15 versions of technical specifications, and Release 8 included LTE, also known as long-term evolution technology.

Because of LTE, the theoretical access rate of 4G has increased from 100 Mbps to 150 Mbps. In other words, although 5G has been launched for commercial use, 4G has not stood still, but has been "becoming stronger"!

2. New frequency band

Because LTE has made 4G network speeds soar, and some smart people have a more far-reaching dream, which is to add a modulation device to the base station to compress the signals of two frequency bands, one high and one low, into a new frequency band.

In order to receive a new frequency band, the mobile phone also adds a corresponding module. In this way, the mobile phone can restore this new frequency band, that is, the signals of two frequency bands, one high and one low. It’s really amazing!

3. Multi-node carrier aggregation

As the mobile phone can accommodate more antennas, multi-node carrier aggregation will follow! This thing allows the mobile phone to establish a connection with multiple signal towers, so that the speed can reach 1200Mbps. Of course, this is only theoretical~

So, it is not that 5G is garbage, but that 4G has also been working hard to "evolve" after the launch of 5G, and with the support of various new technologies, the gap between 4G and 5G protocols has gradually narrowed. Do you agree with this statement?
