After rejecting Huawei, 5G development in Europe and the United States is suffering. Netizens: They are reaping the consequences

In order to boycott Huawei's 5G equipment, the United States used security issues to discredit Huawei. It not only banned Huawei's 5G equipment, but also fanned the flames and persuaded a group of its younger brothers to join the ranks of banning Huawei. Under the "efforts" of the United States, Huawei lost the European market. Although Huawei suffered heavy losses, the United States and its younger brothers were not happy either. After abandoning Huawei equipment, they had to bear higher 5G construction costs. These extra construction costs made European operators miserable. Recently, they began to resist and pointed the finger at the United States.

According to recent news, 11 large European telecommunications companies including Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone of the United Kingdom jointly issued a statement saying that because the cost of 5G construction is too high and the expenses are huge, and large American technology companies in Europe use a large amount of 5G traffic and gain huge benefits from it, therefore American technology giants must pay a certain amount of money to subsidize their construction.

Major European operators have been cheated by the United States

Because of the trouble-making of the Americans, major European operators are unable to use Huawei equipment and can only use communication equipment from Ericsson and Nokia, which are in the same boat with the Americans. However, their equipment is not only inferior to Huawei in quality, but also inferior in price. It is a complete high price with low configuration, and it costs a lot more to buy equipment.

At the same time, according to the regulations, if you use the equipment of a certain company, you do not need to pay the corresponding company's patent fees. Huawei has the most patent technologies, which means that the patent fees for using Huawei equipment are the lowest. If you are forced to use Ericsson and Nokia, which have fewer patents, you will have to pay more patent licensing fees. Under normal circumstances, using Huawei equipment for 5G construction can not only save money on purchasing equipment, but also save the patent fees required.

What is even more interesting is that the United States forced European countries to use Ericsson and Nokia equipment, bringing them high equipment fees and patent fees. As a result, in order to reduce its own patent fee expenditure, the United States' largest telecom operator Verizon chose to cooperate with Samsung, yes, Samsung of South Korea. Samsung was chosen for 5G construction because Samsung's number of 5G technology patents is second only to Huawei. Since banning Huawei will inevitably lead to the payment of patent fees to Huawei, it chooses to pay less to other companies.

The United States not only screwed over the operators in European countries, but also suppressed their IQ. Not only did it pay less, but it also did a favor to Ericsson and Nokia as a reward for its earlier boycott of Huawei.

Dilemma of 5G Construction in Europe and America

Now, European and American countries, in addition to facing high construction costs, also need to solve the problem of commercial application. The speed of 5G construction and application lags far behind my country. According to relevant statistics, the total number of 5G base stations in the world is about 1.65 million, while the total number of 5G base stations in my country exceeds 1.15 million, which is equivalent to 70% of the world's 5G base stations in my country. Excluding the number of base stations built in Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea, the number of base stations in Europe and the United States is pitifully small.

With a large number of 5G base stations, 5G has been used in many fields in China, while the penetration rate in the European market is very low, and it will take a long time to truly commercialize it. In any case, 5G base stations must be built first for commercial use, and after the construction is completed, supporting solutions can be used for commercial use. However, given the difficulties faced by major European operators, it is unlikely that they will accelerate construction without making changes, and they will be left far behind.

Of course, there are ways to build and commercialize quickly. You can choose to spend money, but now that major operators have begun to ask American high-tech companies to share the construction costs, it is unrealistic to rely on operators to spend money. At the same time, it is unlikely that the government of various countries will give money. After all, no subsidies were given when Huawei equipment was dismantled and replaced (only the United States subsidized $1.8 billion).

In addition to spending money, they can also choose to save money and solve commercial application problems by cooperating with Huawei. Huawei's equipment is not only of good quality and affordable, but also has lower patent fees. Moreover, Huawei is the only communications manufacturer in the world that can provide a complete end-to-end 5G solution. While building 5G base stations, commercial applications can also be solved at the same time. Compared with the former, choosing to cooperate with Huawei is the wisest choice. It depends on whether they know what is good and what is bad.

Summarize

Following the United States will only lead to being cheated out of everything. European countries have joined forces to suppress Huawei, but they will only suffer the consequences in the end. At the same time, although the United States and its younger brothers refuse to use Huawei equipment, Huawei can counter them by collecting patent fees. According to Huawei's third-quarter financial report released earlier, Huawei has a revenue of up to 4 billion just by collecting patent fees from Europe and the United States. With core technology in hand, it is awesome!
