This may be the correct way to open 5G

I wonder what you think 5G should look like? Fast Internet speed? Strong network coverage? Good network stability? Or cheaper data unit price?

In fact, these are not the correct ways to use 5G. These are just narrow understandings, and interest will decline after the novelty and popularity have worn off. Moreover, in terms of Internet speed experience alone, the current 4G network can already meet the Internet needs of most people.

In fact, at the current stage, the potential of 5G on the C-end has not yet exploded, there are no blockbuster applications, and there has been no explosive growth in traffic, which has led to the fact that 5G has not yet truly realized its value on the C-end. On the 2B side, it is only in the early stages of development, but the 5G applications in some leading industries have shown its unfathomable development prospects. Moreover, the 5G era is recognized as the era of industrial Internet, that is, the main use of 5G is not for ordinary consumers on the C-end, but for various network slicing industrial applications on 2B.

Although our country is still in the early stages of 5G 2B applications, there are many highlights in typical industry application cases. According to relevant data, as of now, more than 800 5G+Industrial Internet projects have been built nationwide, and it is expected to exceed 1,500 by the end of the year. The development trend of 5G+Industrial Internet integration and innovation, mutual promotion and progress, and superposition and multiplication has initially taken shape. It can be said that my country's current 5G 2B market has entered a critical stage of high-quality and large-scale development. With its large uplink, low latency, high reliability, and high security performance, 5G technology has been commercially implemented on a large scale in industrial scenarios such as manufacturing, steel, ports, mines, and power grids, and many industry benchmark demonstration projects have emerged.

At the 2C level, 5G is actually a new outlet. To give a simple example, when we watched online videos before, as long as the Internet speed was guaranteed, the viewing experience would not be much different, although it was only a one-sided "bearing body". However, under the influence of 5G's large bandwidth, low latency, wide coverage, and multiple connections, its impact on the video industry is multi-dimensional and qualitative, so it is not just a change in the video download speed that we understand in a narrow sense.

For example, from the perspective of playback experience, the video playback experience under 5G transmission will no longer be limited to a flat experience, but will have new features such as ultra-high definition, multi-scene, and immersiveness. It will construct a new immersive interactive audio-visual experience with free viewing angle, free zoom, and interconnection between the audience and the scene. This is the correct way to watch movies in the future 5G era.

From the perspective of video content, the video content in the future 5G era will inevitably be highly interactive and immersive, which will inevitably place higher requirements on the quality of content production. The current traditional flat, one-way video content may no longer be able to meet the audience's audio-visual experience needs in the future.

Driven by the playback experience and video content, there will naturally be new developments in technology, and both software and hardware may undergo radical changes from the current ones. For example, the concept of "metaverse" that has been hotly discussed in the industry recently can be seen as a manifestation of the application of future 5G technology.
