Huawei and France Telecom team up to deploy 5G in Africa

During the Mobile World Congress, French telecom company Orange CEO Stephane Richard talked about the global layout of 5G network construction and said that Chinese suppliers' equipment should be avoided when developing European 5G networks because European companies still have "concerns" about large Chinese companies, but there is no problem cooperating with Huawei in Africa. Huawei has a dominant position as an equipment supplier for many telecom operators.

China Unicom Beijing Branch completed the construction of the 10,000th 5G base station

According to Beijing Unicom, on July 1, with the official launch of the 5G base station in Songyuxili Community, China Unicom Beijing Branch completed the construction of the 10,000th 5G base station. After nearly two years of rapid and large-scale deployment, Beijing Unicom has fully utilized the advantages of the capital and achieved wide-area continuous coverage of 5G networks in Beijing. Liaoning's 5G base stations exceed 30,000 and 5G phone users exceed 10 million

On July 12, China Mobile and Sinopec held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Beijing. On July 12, according to China Unicom's Weibo, recently, under the joint promotion of Changsha Unicom and Changsha Telecom, the 5G network of Changsha Metro Lines 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 has been fully opened, and Changsha has fully entered the 5G subway era. According to the test, the download rate of the subway 5G network reached 1Gbps, and the uplink rate reached 275Mbps.

The "China Internet Development Report (2021)" released at the conference showed that by the end of 2020, the number of 5G network users in my country exceeded 160 million, accounting for about 89% of the world's total 5G users. At present, my country has built the world's largest 5G independent networking network, with 916,000 5G base stations built, accounting for 70% of the world, and the number of 5G connections has exceeded 365 million, accounting for 80% of the world.

Huawei wins a large order for 5G 700M base stations from China Radio and Television

On July 19, the 5G 700MHz base station procurement order commissioned by China Mobile was announced, with Huawei accounting for 60% of the share. In addition, ZTE, Shanghai Nokia Bell, Datang Mobile, and Ericsson (China) were also selected. It is reported that the products purchased in this project are mainly 5G 700MHz macro base stations, with a procurement scale of about 480,397 stations.

Huawei completes first 5G 2T 300M subway tunnel solution

On July 22, Guangdong Unicom and Huawei recently completed the commercial subway tunnel coverage based on the 3.5G 2T 300M RRU solution on the new transportation line in Nanhai, Foshan. Under the condition of opening 3 100M cells, the on-site test showed that the download peak rate can reach 2Gbps and the uplink peak rate is 570Mbps, which can effectively meet the requirements of 5G users.

my country completes low-orbit broadband satellite and 5G private network integration test

On July 25, my country's first low-orbit broadband satellite and 5G private network integration test was completed in Beijing and Jinan. The test used low-orbit broadband satellites to build a backbone network between the 5G private networks in Beijing and Jinan, replacing the ground optical fiber that needs to be laid in advance, and realized the integration of low-orbit satellites and 5G private networks. This test can provide wireless communication guarantee for remote areas and emergency communication scenarios, and meet the wireless communication needs of various industries.
