Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: The number of cellular IoT terminal users of the three major operators is nearly 1.2 billion

According to the "Economic Operation of the Communications Industry in the First Quarter of 2021" released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first quarter, the cellular Internet of Things and IPTV users of the three major operators grew rapidly, and the penetration rate of mobile Internet users to mobile phone users increased steadily.

As of the end of March, the three basic telecommunications companies had developed 1.192 billion cellular Internet of Things terminal users, a net increase of 56.15 million from the end of last year. The total number of IPTV (Internet TV) users reached 325 million, an increase of 9.4 million from the end of last year. The number of mobile Internet users reached 1.363 billion, with a penetration rate of 85.1% among mobile phone users, an increase of 0.7 percentage points from the end of last year.
