This foreigner signed up on the Starlink official website last October, and after paying $594.3 (tax, shipping and one month's service fee) in February this year, he finally received the Starlink receiving equipment set. According to the netizen, the total weight of the receiving kit box is about 30 pounds, including a dish receiving antenna, a wireless router, wires and a tripod. The official website shows that the current monthly service fee for the Starlink test period is $99, and users can enjoy a 50-100Mbps broadband network with a delay of 20-40ms and no data traffic limit.

The netizen said that the device is very easy to install. Users only need to place the dish receiving antenna in an open area and ensure that there is no obstruction between the antenna and the sky. The antenna will automatically align with the satellite and start transmitting data. Then connect the antenna to the router via an Ethernet cable, and users can start surfing the Internet. Starlink has currently launched 1,300 satellites, and it is expected that the Internet speed will double by the end of 2021.

Netizens found in actual tests that the download speed provided by Starlink satellite Internet is about 120Mbps, the upload speed is about 20Mbps, and the delay is about 27ms. It can be said that this result is very good, equivalent to the level of 100M home broadband. However, during the test of netizens, the network speed continued to decline, and the downtime was not restored until four days later. Finally, the netizen reminded everyone that Starlink is more suitable for providing high-speed Internet services to remote areas that cannot obtain high-speed broadband. Because he lives in a big city, the speed of home broadband is already far higher than Starlink, so he has no demand for it.
