On February 1, China Central Radio and Television launched a trial broadcast of its 8K ultra-high-definition TV channel. This marks the world's first 8K ultra-high-definition TV live broadcast and 8K TV broadcasting under 5G network. The launch site played my country's first full-process 8K documentary "Beautiful China" produced by the English Center and the Technical Bureau of China Central Radio and Television. The breakthrough made by the film in the application of 8K technology has established China Central Radio and Television's leading position in ultra-high-definition video production. On New Year's Eve (February 11), China Central Radio and Television will also broadcast the CCTV Spring Festival Gala live through the 8K ultra-high-definition TV channel. This is also the first live broadcast in the field of 8K ultra-high-definition TV in the world.

As the world's largest, most diverse, and most widely covered new mainstream media, China Media Group has vigorously implemented the 5G+4K/8K+AI strategy. Starting from February 1, CCTV's 8K ultra-high-definition TV channel has been continuously broadcasting in a multicast mode on the CCTV IP network, and users can watch it through 8K AVS3 set-top boxes. At the same time, CCTV, in cooperation with China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom and China Radio and Television, has transmitted the 8K ultra-high-definition TV channel broadcast test signal to more than 30 ultra-high-definition large screens and the first batch of 8K TVs in public places in Beijing National Grand Theater, Shanghai International Media Port and 9 cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Jinan, Haikou and Qingdao for simultaneous broadcast.
