Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the General Office of the National Health Commission jointly organized the application for the "5G+Medical Health" application pilot project, focusing on eight key directions including emergency treatment, remote diagnosis, remote treatment, remote intensive care (ICU), traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment, hospital management, intelligent disease control, and health management. It encourages all regions and units to innovate 5G application scenarios, accelerate the transformation of health network infrastructure, and promote the innovative development of 5G+smart medical care, which has aroused great attention.
In recent years, problems in my country's medical field have continued to emerge. On the one hand, medical manpower and equipment resources are limited and unevenly distributed in different regions. Many people are faced with the problems of "difficulty, high cost and slowness in seeing a doctor"; on the other hand, the existing medical technology level, efficiency and service are not high, and hospitals are under great pressure in operating costs. In this context, in order to meet the needs of industry development, smart medical care has become the key to breaking the deadlock, and the emergence of 5G has brought a catalytic effect to smart medical care. With its high speed, low latency and large capacity, 5G networks can penetrate into every aspect of medical diagnosis and treatment and hospital management, improve medical standards and enhance hospital management. At the same time, they can be combined with intelligent technologies and equipment such as artificial intelligence, VR/AR and robots to collaborate with doctors and managers and reduce treatment and operational pressure. In addition, 5G can also accelerate the sharing and sinking of medical resources through the informatization, mobility and remoteness of medical services. In short, the emergence and application of 5G can catalyze the further development of smart healthcare. At present, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, my country's 5G base station construction has exceeded 600,000, completing the annual construction target ahead of schedule. At the same time, 5G network coverage has also achieved good results, with 5G users exceeding 100 million in total, and the domestic 5G commercialization process has begun to bear fruit. Against this background, with the continuous development of pilot applications in the future, the integration of 5G and healthcare will truly mature. However, before that, my country also needs to overcome three difficulties: first, accelerate the construction of 5G base stations, improve the coverage of 5G dedicated networks, and reduce the cost and price of 5G applications; second, accelerate 5G technology research and improve the security and reliability of 5G technology applications; third, strengthen industry standards and supervision to create a healthy and orderly environment for industry applications. Only by solving the three problems of network, technology and standards can development finally achieve ideal results. |
