On February 1, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the "Basic Electronic Components Industry Development Action Plan (2021-2023)". The "Plan" proposes to promote breakthroughs in basic electronic components for important industries such as smart terminals, 5G, and industrial Internet, enhance the supply chain guarantee capabilities of key materials, equipment and instruments, and improve the modernization level of the industrial chain supply chain.

The Action Plan requires support for market applications in key industries. Implement key market application promotion actions to promote differentiated applications of electronic components in key industries such as smart terminals, 5G, industrial Internet and data centers, and smart connected vehicles, accelerate product attraction of social resources, and iterate and upgrade.

In addition, the "Action" also pointed out that we must seize the opportunities of global 5G and industrial Internet, and focus on the construction of 5G networks, industrial Internet and data centers, and focus on promoting the application of electronic components that affect the high-speed transmission of communication equipment, such as RF resistors and capacitors, medium and high frequency components, special printed circuit boards, high-speed transmission cables and connection components, and optical communication devices.
