In order to comprehensively display the development achievements of my country's industrial Internet in 2020 and create a good atmosphere for the innovative development of the industrial Internet, after fully soliciting suggestions from all parties, the China Industrial Internet Research Institute released the top ten events of China's industrial Internet in 2020 (the following ranking is in no particular order).

1. General Secretary Xi Jinping sends a congratulatory letter to the 2020 China 5G+ Industrial Internet Conference

On November 20, the 2020 China 5G+ Industrial Internet Conference opened in Wuhan, Hubei Province, and General Secretary Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter. Xi Jinping pointed out that at present, a new round of global scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is advancing in depth, information technology is changing with each passing day, and the integration of 5G and industrial Internet will accelerate the construction of digital China and smart society, accelerate China's new industrialization process, inject new impetus into China's economic development, and create new development opportunities for the world economy shrouded in the shadow of the epidemic.

2. The CPPCC National Committee held a biweekly consultation meeting on "Accelerating the Construction of Industrial Internet"

On April 30, the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held its 35th biweekly consultation forum to discuss and deliberate on "accelerating the construction of the industrial Internet". Wang Yang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, presided over the meeting. Wang Yang emphasized that my country's economy is at a critical period of transformation from old to new drivers. The epidemic has deepened our understanding of the industrial Internet. Accelerating the construction of the industrial Internet is of great significance to implementing the new development concept, deepening supply-side structural reforms, and promoting high-quality economic development.

3. Industrial Internet supports epidemic prevention and control and resumption of work and production

On August 25, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced 66 industrial Internet platform solutions to support epidemic prevention and control and resumption of work and production. Among them, 23 are aimed at improving emergency response capabilities, 32 are aimed at restoring the production capacity of manufacturing enterprises, and 11 are aimed at enhancing supply chain resilience. During the epidemic, the Industrial Internet Security Technology Monitoring Service Platform continued to play a role, with a total of 869 threat information assessments and 300 threat notifications, which effectively assisted epidemic prevention and control and resumption of work and production.

4. The industrial Internet policy system is gradually improving

On March 6, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Notice on Promoting the Accelerated Development of the Industrial Internet". On April 28, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Guiding Opinions on the Development of Industrial Big Data". On October 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Emergency Management jointly issued the "Industrial Internet + Work Safety" Action Plan (2021-2023). On December 22, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Industrial Internet Innovation and Development Action Plan (2021-2023)". On December 23, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the National Energy Administration jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a National Integrated Big Data Center Collaborative Innovation System". On December 25, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Industrial Internet Identification Management Measures".

5. Further promotion of regional coordinated development of the industrial Internet

On March 4, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of the ninth batch of national new industrialization industry demonstration bases, including "Industrial Internet·Beijing Shunyi District, Haidian District, Chaoyang District, Shijingshan District", "Industrial Internet·Hubei Wuhan", and "Industrial Internet·Shenzhen Bao'an District". On November 5, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology replied to the People's Governments of Shandong Province and Guangdong Province respectively, supporting the two provinces to create industrial Internet demonstration zones.

6. 2020 Industrial Internet Pilot Demonstration Project Released

On November 3, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched the application for the 2020 Industrial Internet pilot demonstration projects. On December 28, the shortlist was announced, including 4 network transformation integrated innovation applications, 11 identity resolution integrated innovation applications, 14 "5G+Industrial Internet" intranet transformation integrated innovation applications, 50 platform integrated innovation applications, and 26 security integrated innovation applications.

7. 2020 cross-industry and cross-field industrial Internet platform released

On December 22, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of cross-industry and cross-field industrial Internet platforms in 2020, namely, COSMOPlat Industrial Internet Platform, INDICS Platform, CLOUDIIP Platform, Hanyun Industrial Internet Platform, ROOTCLOUD Industrial Internet Platform, UFIDA Jingzhi Industrial Internet Platform, Alibaba Cloud supET Industrial Internet Platform, Yunzhou Industrial Internet Platform, Huawei FusionPlant Industrial Internet Platform, Foxconn Fii Cloud Industrial Internet Platform, Tencent WeMake Industrial Internet Platform, HUMI ​​H-IIP Industrial Internet Platform, Baosight xIn3Plat Industrial Internet Platform, supOS Industrial Operating System, and UNIPower Industrial Internet Platform.

8. Accelerate the construction of industrial Internet security assurance system

In 2020, the "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening Industrial Internet Security Work" was implemented in depth, the construction of the industrial Internet security assurance system was accelerated, and the technical monitoring capabilities of the three-level linkage of the national, provincial, and enterprise levels were basically established, covering 14 key industrial fields such as machinery manufacturing and electronic information, and 150 key industrial Internet platforms. A closed-loop working mechanism for monitoring, early warning, information sharing, notification and disposal of industrial Internet threats was initially established, and market-oriented elements such as industrial ecology, technical public relations, and service supply were further promoted.

9. Various competitions in the field of industrial Internet received enthusiastic responses

On November 6, the 2020 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition, the National Industrial Internet Security Technology and Skills Competition, jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, ended in Nanjing, Jiangsu. This competition is a national first-class vocational skills competition, setting up 15 typical industrial Internet scenarios such as industrial cloud platforms, intelligent assembly of parts, and intelligent connected vehicles, attracting 5,279 teams and 15,837 contestants from across the country. From June to December, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province jointly held the Second China Industrial Internet Competition, which attracted 1,457 teams, more than 2,000 companies, and nearly 7,000 people from across the country to compete and advance, and finally selected 20 award-winning industrial Internet solutions.

10. The investment and financing activity of the industrial Internet industry continues to rise

In 2020, the Industrial Internet has become a hot spot for investment. According to statistics from relevant institutions, there were 98 investment events related to the Industrial Internet in 2020, covering six major areas such as industrial platforms, industrial software, and industrial security, with a total investment amount of 12.36 billion yuan. Financing for industrial Internet platforms is active, and the financing scale of leading enterprises has repeatedly set new records.
