Kingsoft Cloud wins "IPv6 Support Excellence Award"; all cloud products have IPv4/IPv6 access capabilities

Recently, the "GNTC 2020 Global Network Technology Conference" hosted by the National Engineering Center for Next Generation Internet was successfully held in Nanjing. At the award ceremony of the conference, Wen Ku, Director of the Information and Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Academician Wu Hequan, Director of the Expert Committee for Promoting Large-Scale Deployment of IPv6, and Liu Dong, Vice Chairman of the Global IPv6 Forum, presented awards to the winning companies. Kingsoft Cloud won the "Cloud Service IPv6 Support Capability Evaluation Certificate" and the "IPv6 Support Excellence Award" for its excellent performance in the evaluation and its leading position in IPv6 transformation, which means that Kingsoft Cloud has been at the forefront of the industry in terms of cloud service IPv6 transformation.

As a key technology for the next generation of the Internet, IPv6 is an inevitable trend in the development of network information technology and the evolution and upgrading of the Internet. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has issued a special "Action Plan for Promoting the Large-Scale Deployment of Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6)" to accelerate the deployment and application of IPv6. About Cloud Service IPv6 Support Capability Assessment and Certification

The cloud service IPv6 support capability assessment project was officially released in August 2020. The project is based on the "IPv6 Enabled Cloud Logo Test Specification" of the Global IPv6 Testing Center and the "Cloud Service IPv6 Support Assessment Indicators and Methods" of the "Expert Committee for Promoting IPv6 Large-Scale Deployment" of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

The evaluation assesses the IPv6 capabilities of cloud services based on seven indicators: service functionality, service availability, network access performance, service usability, service security, coverage, and completeness of IPv6 upgrade and transformation solutions. This helps enterprises locate problems that arise during the IPv6 transformation of cloud service platforms, effectively promotes cloud service platforms to carry out in-depth IPv6 transformation, expands the coverage of IPv6 resources, provides a good infrastructure for the IPv6 transformation of cloud service platforms, and effectively improves the IPv6 business carrying capacity of cloud service platforms.
