Innovation improves people's livelihood, H3C's public rental housing smart door lock solution won the 2020 World Internet of Things Expo Award

Recently, the public rental housing smart door lock IoT solution of New H3C Group, a subsidiary of Tsinghua Unigroup, won the "Innovation Award for New Technology, New Products, and New Application Results Selection" awarded by the World Internet of Things Expo 2020. The World Internet of Things Expo (World IoT Expo) is currently the largest IoT industry expo in China. The "Innovation Award for New Technology, New Products, and New Application Results Selection" awarded this time is a recognition of the innovative ability of New H3C's public rental housing smart door lock solution.

In recent years, the supply of public rental housing in my country has grown rapidly, and the housing security system has been increasingly improved, but there is a lack of effective management methods. Problems frequently arise in the process of subletting, lending and idle housing. There are phenomena such as profiting from subletting due to the low price of public rental housing, and tenants occupying public resources and leaving housing idle for a long time, resulting in waste of resources. According to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the period of large-scale construction of public rental housing in my country has basically ended, and the focus of housing security work has shifted from construction to management. With the popularization of digital technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and big data, realizing intelligent management of public rental housing through digital technologies has become a new direction for the development of the industry.

H3C Group's public rental housing smart door lock solution is based on the innovative LoRa low-power IoT technology. It is currently the industry's first public rental housing smart door lock solution that adopts the LoRaWAN™ standard. Through the LoRa networked smart door lock and the smart door lock management application, it can authorize public rental housing tenants to use "fingerprint + ID card" to open the door, automatically close the door when the rent expires, and query the door opening information securely, etc., effectively solving the management problems of public rental housing subletting, lending, idle housing, unpaid rent, etc., and improving management efficiency.

The solution includes four parts: LoRa wireless networked smart door lock, integrated IoT gateway, Oasis IoT platform and smart door lock management application . Among them, LoRa wireless networked smart door lock is developed by Dessmann, a partner certified by H3C Group, and integrated IoT gateway, Oasis IoT platform and smart door lock management application are independently developed by H3C.

01 Ultra-low power networking

The wireless networked smart door lock adopts the innovative LoRa low-power networking technology, which is more advantageous than the traditional ZigBee/BLE/Wi-Fi smart door lock solution, with a longer coverage range, support for more terminal access, lower power consumption, and a battery life of more than 1 year;

02 Integrated Converged Network

The solution uses the industry's first IoT gateway product that integrates Wi-Fi and LoRa. A single gateway can simultaneously achieve broadband Wi-Fi and narrowband LoRa wireless coverage to build an integrated converged network. The device supports the international LoRaWAN™ standard and can achieve low-power wide-area wireless network coverage of more than 500 meters according to the actual deployment environment. In full-duplex working mode, a single converged IoT gateway can meet the simultaneous access and stable communication of 400 smart door locks;

03 Massive device access

As an important part of the solution, the Oasis IoT platform adopts a microservice architecture based on container technology and has three core functions: connection management, device management, and application enablement. It can support a variety of network connection methods from wired to wireless, from short distance to long distance (RFID/Wi-Fi/LTE, etc.), support the access of massive IoT devices downward, and provide standard APIs upward to enable IoT application development in various scenarios;

04 Remote unified management

The smart door lock management application based on the Oasis IoT platform can remotely and uniformly manage smart door locks online, authorize tenants to unlock the door using different methods such as ID card, password, fingerprint, etc., and issue unified unlocking permissions. The main functions include door lock management, permission management, and unlocking statistics.
